"My young son had hurt his arm playing soccer. He was in a lot of pain and didn't want to bend his arm at all. We initially went to another orthopedic clinic in town and they took some X-rays and put him in a splint (temporary cast) and sling which was helpful to alleviate his pain and allow the healing to begin. After looking at the X-rays the doctor advised us our son may have a fracture near the elbow and for us to return for a follow up exam in a week. However, they were not able to clearly show me in the X-rays they had taken exactly where the fracture occurred and when we tried to make a follow up appointment the lady at the desk said the doctor's team was booked and they would have to call us back when they could find an open appointment for us. This is in when I thought I'd better do what is best for my son and try to find a pediatric orthopedist in Anchorage. Our Google search led us to ORCA and Dr. Daniel Brown. I called the next day and was able to get an appointment with Dr. Brown for the 1 week follow up. At the appointment the front desk was professional, efficient, and helpful. We only waited a few minutes before we were led to the exam room by the nurse whom also was very professional, efficient, and asked all the right questions to give Dr. Brown a complete background of my son's health and current injury. Shortly after, Dr Brown arrived. He had carefully examined the X-rays we brought from the previous clinic and explained that although they weren't the best quality pictures he certainly didn't see any evidence of a fracture. He carefully removed my son's sling and splint and thoroughly examined and tested my son's injured arm/elbow. Dr. Brown was friendly and never made us feel like we had to rush or were wasting his time. He took the time to address all my and my son's questions and concerns never belittling us or making us feel stupid. He even took us to a sink where we could wash our son's arm and got him some lotion for it so my son would stop scratching the irritation the splint had caused. I have to wonder if my son would have needlessly started school with a cast on his writing arm for 4-6 weeks had we simply returned to the original clinic. Overall, this was one of the best experiences we have ever had in a doctor's office. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Daniel Brown and his team if your child ever needs to see a PEDIATRIC orthopedist. It is absolutely... the best you can do for your kid!"

His bedside manner is very calming and he is incredibly smart. I had a rotator cuff tear back in 2013 and after one treatment I was completely healed. He immediately got me in touch with an upper extremity surgeon to help me out and I was in for surgery within a day.
