"First appointment we were scheduled for the doctor no showed. They called the morning of, an hour prior to appointment but unfortunately we didn’t get the message. Second appointment we waited over an hour past appointment time. When I asked the receptionist what the deal was her response was “hang tight”. Avoid this place. If you are referred here then ask for another option. Only rating 2 stars because the nurse who checked weight and asked questions was very nice."

"The only reason they get 2 stars is because I was happy with my care there. I no longer reside in Alaska and have been trying to get my medical records sent to my PCP and now myself. First off, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with medical records from the phone menu. When you leave a voicemail for medical records, don’t worry it won’t be returned. Every time I called I had to connect with scheduling since they’re the only ones who answer the phone. It took me 2 months to get my records sent to my PCP who said they haven’t received them. I sent in my ROI to have my medical records released to me almost 2 weeks ago, and they “only received the ROI for (my PCP)” when the one I sent for me was attached to the email chain. Doctor wise, I was very happy with AKNC. Administrative wise they need help."

"I’ve never written a bad review for anything. My son’s experience was terrible. He has seizure disorder and was an established patient . In 2020, of course when Covid was here, my son was having seizures 3 to 5 times a week. I know how the medical system works. They are Very busy. I called repeatedly, and left many voice messages. They would never get back to me. We had to reach out to other doctors on his team. After about a month of this I called around and got him seen by another neurologist in town. I realize how difficult it is to get medical care here in Anchorage/ Alaska, and nationwide. Still, they didn’t even reach out. Hopefully they have gotten better,"

"I would never suggest anyone go to this practice. “Doctor” David Hensler didn’t even do the tests I was referred for. Drove three and a half hours for him to pull on my fingers, and tap my knees only to have another seizure a month later. He lied to me about how EEG testing works and refused to do the tests even though that’s what I was referred for. Not to mention his HORRIBLE bedside manner. This practice should be shut down and he should not have a medical license. If I could give negative stars I 100% would. Please stay away from this place."

"Update: 2/8/23 I am very pleased with the response from the staff and Dr. E. This time around the time was taken to listen to me, my concerns and provide options for my care. I am satisfied and will continue my care here. Update: 1/30/23 The office called me and wants to try to provide me with a better experience, with a different doctor. I agreed to give it one more chance. I hope they can provide me with some answers or at least a plan in a way I can understand. Original: I can't even explain how this place has made me feel. From day one I should of know I would have issues. After paying out the nose and undergoing MRI's, and and office visit with no substance or even a whimper of care for the findings. Today I walked out on the doctor before the appointment was even over. You are going to tell me I have lesions on my brain, and seem to show no care or interest in explaining to me like I am a human what that means for me. Down play my symptoms as I am telling them to you and get short with me. Yeah, I will never be back in that office EVER!"
