"Dr. Charles Blackadar is a stain on the medical society. His inability to look past his own prejudices led to the poorest quality of care I have ever seen. I took my 2 year old daughter in due to a cough and he never even listened to her heart and lungs! Instead he took his time to explain his personal beliefs and his perceived beliefs on my short comings as a parent (we choose not to vaccinate our children). She tested positive for RSV, but before the test even came back he informed me I should just take her to the E.R. After the test came back, this coward of a Dr. wouldn't even enter the room entirely, but told me (from the hallway) there is no treatment for RSV. Then to cap it off, added if she quits breathing I should take her to the ER immediately (thanks for the advice Doc). If I could leave a negative star review I would. Save your time and money and go to a clinic that cares!"
"I want to make this clear that this has everything to do with administration and not the care I received. I went in with a piece of glass just under the skin of my foot. The provider pulled it out with tweezers, did not have to numb it or make any sort of incision. During this appointment, I mentioned to the doctor that I am a medical coder and he said they don’t have one. So, I paid attention when the bill came. First, my insurance wasn’t billed but that wasn’t a huge deal. Second, what was a big deal was that the visit was coded very incorrectly. Per the Current Procedural Terminology guidelines, when a foreign body is removed without any incision, only an office visit should be billed, not a procedure. The bill showed they billed me for an office visit and foreign body removal that is embedded and requires an incision. I emailed the office some sources to back this up. Their response was saying they were going to bill an even more involve procedure which was foreign body removal from the muscle. I figured if they did that I would just escalate it and file an appeal with my insurance. It ended up being a moot point because they didn’t bill my insurance and just took the $75 copay. Very strange. So, if you go here and your bill seems off, I would press the issue or contact your insurance to ask them to verify the coding. Just my two cents."
"I wish I could give less than 1 star. I honestly can't believe how unprofessional the two female doctors/physicians assistant/whatever they were I have dealt with at this location were. The first time I went in for cysts that were forming in my underarms. I was having them occur frequently and went for treatment or medicine etc. The doctor came in and said it was happening because i was unclean and practicing bad hygiene and refused to even touch me with gloves on. Was very short with me and didn't give me any medicine, advice, or treatment aside from stop being so filthy. I am NOT filthy. I am fat. There is a difference. The second time happend today when i went in for concern about inflammatory breast cancer. She told me "oh boy! you gots the shingles!" Sadly, that us a direct quote. The insulting behavior didn't stop there though. She let me know I DEFINITELY have shingles and don't have inflammatory breast cancer even though the rashes are IDENTICAL and indistinguishable to the naked eye and would require testing to determine which one it is. Then she made sure I knew she had a small child at home so she would be keeping her gloves on. I can't imagine why she would have taken them off regardless but thank you for making me feel bad and gross for coming to be seen. She did a manual check for lumps and acted like she was freaking out the whole time about possibly touching my rash. She said shingles is HIGHLY contagious and that my 3 year old would probably get chicken pox from me. I left feeling confused and gross. I got in my car and started looking things up and figured out she is just a douche. The nurses and front end staff are always SO KIND AND AMAZING AND I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM. The 2 women who have treated me there though were AWFUL. I will never be going back here EVER again."
"Called on my way into town with my 7 year old neededing an xray one hour before closing. Was turned away from other urgent cares because it was too close til closing. Was told to try the e.r. but They gladly took us in. From the time we walked in did paperwork, got x-rays and walked out we were only there for 30 minutes! Told us right away it wasn't broken. I was shocked and impressed. Great staff. Very quick and efficient. Saved me a visit to the e.r. literally the exact definition of an urgent care. Thabk u!"
