"I had a very negative experience. After I paid them over a thousand dollars and they gave me a warranty that voles and squirrels would not come into my house they did get the squirrel out of my attic, and they haven’t been back, but then it came in my crawl space. When I called them about it (also voles still coming in) they tried to tell me a bunch of illogical responses to include that they didn’t give me a warranty to keep all of the animals out of the house (not just dispose of them once they got in.) I checked the paperwork and that’s what they had promised to do. I was suspicious because they wanted to keep coming back to “check the traps” frequently and the fan vent in the bathroom was ajar after they left one time. I didn’t even raise this issue with them but they still ended up hanging up on me on the phone. I found them unprofessional and discourteous."
"I am very pleased with the services performed by Varmint Gone to rid our home of squirrels that were entering our attic . Keith came and looked at our home and emailed a bid within 24 hours. Once I accepted and signed the bid proposal an appointment was made to do the work. He and Jacob installed protective wire meshing under ALL the eves of the house and set up a one way door to let the squirrels leave the attic. After a few days, when the squirrels were out, Keith returned to clean up and disinfect the attic. The job was done thoroughly - and I am confident that we will not have any creatures entering our attic again. The Varmint Gone crew were polite, informative, and eager to answer any of our questions and concerns. (May 2020)"
"I am the out of state landlord from the previous one star review. I have known my tenants for well over 5 years, both when I lived in Anchorage and now. We Marco Polo (video chat) on a daily basis. Needless to say, I know them extremely well. They are allowed so many pets because they are emaculate in their care, and are even better parents. I'm disgusted by Varmint Gone's treatment of them. I received a call from Varmint Gone after my tenant posted a negative review from her own experience. Under the guise of a "courtesy call", Keith began by complaining about the review and requesting I take care of it. He further went on to use extreme exaggeration, fear mongering and bullying with the obvious intend to cause my tenants harm or even eviction. He did not ask me to reconsider their services or if they could alter the proposal for a more reasonable price. I got another unnecessary complaint call from Keith, who hasn't even been to my rental, asking me to handle my tenants, as if I was their mom. The blatant disrespect for my tenants, who are good, hard working people, is enough for me to question the way they run the rest of their business. Also, Varmint Gone's rates are literally 10x higher than the competition, which is outrageous regardless of any so called "warranty"."
"I highly recommend the professionals at Varmint Gone! I called four companies I found in a Google Search and they are, hands down, the most professional, starting from the first phone call. (They are staffed whereas at least two of the other companies I had to leave a message) After a short conversation to discuss our rodent issue, they said they could have somebody out the next day to assess the situation. Their technician was not only out the next day, he prepared a bid and started work immediately. He spent time explaining the lifestyle and habits of the rodents and developed a 4-week plan to rid the house using four different methods, as well vacuuming, cleaning, and bleaching every floor and wall of the house. (some rooms numerous times!) He promised to come out 2 - 3 times a week but we saw him more often than that those first two weeks. Once the 30-day mitigation was complete, he walked me through all the things he did, and reminded us numerous times that they are there to help us for one year. Our situation was "grim" enough that one of the two owners came out to look at the situation and along with his technician they spent even more time making sure the house was sealed up. They may present a higher price than others, but I'm a believer that you get what you pay for, and these folks not only know their business but care about the customer. I would gladly recommend Lisa Rae, Keith, Alex and their team if you are fighting mice, squirrel, bat or other varmint issues!"
"We were at our wits end when we contacted Varmint Gone. We had estimates from 2 other contractors who were eager to give estimates but never ready to get started. The bat smell was bothersome. Keith came over and did a walk through and sent an estimate. My husband was out of town and called him directly with some additional concerns. Keith did a close inspection of those areas and updated the proposal. They started right away with sealing the house and installing bat tubes for them to escape. Half of our lower roof was removed and whole underside of roof area was removed and sanitized. New insulation and roofing was installed along with mesh to prevent bats returning though roof jack. We were kept informed and pictures were taken during whole process. The final bill was less than proposal since only half of roof had to be removed. The majority of the work was completed in 2 days which was a relief since it was winter. The whole crew were nice to work with. I love bats but not in my home. They now have a home of their own installed. Kat and Wes of Palmer, AK"
