Reviews
"I’ve changed my initial 5 star review to 1 star after constant issues with the national, corporate office. If the business was local and privately run by the great team here, I’d easily give them 5 stars. However, what could be seen as nothing short of unethical business practices by the corporation overshadows all of the good done by the dedicated staff throughout Wyoming. Dealing with corporate online or over the phone is by far the most frustrating experience we’ve encountered with any business EVER! Aside from the clear lack of customer service or ability to assist customers, the corporation has most recently started price gouging. I felt bad constantly calling our local man’s personal phone number to get good service. I decided to give online ordering another shot. Please be aware that we are on autopay with our invoices being paid 1-2 days after delivery. The going rate and what they publish online in our area is $2.39/gallon. We were charged $4.06/gallon. When we called to inquire, they held to that being the correct price despite neighbors and other friends being charged much less. We finally started working with the regional manager and he was making efforts to get us on a price protection agreement. In the meantime, as temperatures plummet below zero and we’re now at 30%, we reached out again and were quoted $4.69/gallon. After hearing this is happening to numerous people and reading other negative reviews, we’ve accepted that while we adore the local staff, we cannot justify paying such outrageous prices and are not willing to support such an unethical and uncaring company. We found a local, privately owned company that services this area. They will be delivering a 500 gallon tank and propane at $2.14/gallon on Thursday (2 day turn around). I would highly discourage selecting Amerigas if you have other options. The corporation should be charged and held accountable for what they are doing to their customers."
"You charged us twice the going rate. We are not going to continue to do business with you I have complained about this and nothing happens. We have been on auto fill for many years yet when we were price gouged your representatives say we have no contract with yon."
"If I could give a ZERO I would. It is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with a LOCAL representative of Amerigas. ALL calls are routed to the Philippines where you must speak with a "customer care ADVOCATE". I called and was given a work order # and told I would be contacted - now over a week ago - and still have not heard back. Local numbers for the company are UNLISTED on purpose."
"Call the “local” phone number and you get the international call center. My name is misspelled on the account. Assured by the woman that I’ll receive delivery “before I run out. But no estimate of when, next week, or next month. The only positive is that the price is locked in, so she says. At the beginning of the call, the computer voice says “stay on the phone after your call for a brief survey”, but the staff are smart enough not to disconnect, so you’ll hang up before you can answer the survey. I have two tanks at my property. I requested that the HOUSE tank (1000 gal) be filled. Instead the GARAGE tank (500 gal) which I own, was filled. Now I cannot receive product from your competitor at the cheaper rate, and I may run out of fuel to heat my house. Calling customer service, they refuse to connect me with a supervisor. They say they will but then connect you with the automated survey, after which you are disconnected."
"Worst service imaginable! Customer service is a joke and my bill was over $400 more than it should have been! Driver claims tank was at 11% when filled, but I have a picture of the gauge one week before filling at 30% on the dot! IMPOSSIBLE my tiny place used that much gas in one week, when it takes me 3 months to use 50%! Called and asked for a review where we were told they would charge us $300 to come out and inspect! I understand their business is hurting because service is so bad people are switching providers, but don’t take that out on me! Will be switching ASAP; just another customer lost! Do yourself a favor and stay clear of Amerigas!"
