"BEAUTIFUL easy trail along the coast and through the woods with tons of parks, geology, history, views, etc. Not to be missed! We got on the trail in Point Woronzof Park and walked towards downtown, didn't start at either trailhead. But it was great. Earthquake Park had fascinating history about the geology and tragedy of the large earthquake that struck in 1964. Our family does a lot of hiking/trail walking/etc and this was spectacular. We had a perfect weather day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon/evening in July and there was quite a bit of foot and bike traffic especially the later it got (people getting off work and heading for the trail, etc) but it never felt crowded. We exited the trail at Westchester Lagoon and walked the trails along the Lagoon and then headed to Wild Scoops for a much deserved ice cream treat. Wonderful day!"
"Had a great time walking along the trail. Saw a moose and a calf, lots of mushrooms, lots of birds. They were great views of Mount McKinley, Anchorage, And across the inlet. Having a ride pick us up at Kincaid park was definitely the way to go."
"Rented bikes for 4 hours to ride the entire 11 mile from downtown to Kincaid Park with many stops along the way. Great way to see Earthquake Park, Point Campbell Park, Kincaid Park, watch the airplanes fly overhead at end of runway, see moose, all while getting good exercise. Lot of people on the trails, but everyone was respectful in using trail etiquette. There are a few inclines near the mid-point to the end at Kincaid Park, but plenty of room to walk your bike if you need. Great views the entire way that makes the time fly while riding the trails."
"Really awesome trail that is a great way to spend some time and relax you’re in Anchorage. Plenty of trail that you’ll never run out of and you’ll never bored either. Every section offers a unique view of the coastline with connections to many different parts of the city."
"Biked the whole trail today. Be careful at mile marker 8, roots under the pavement make it a bumpy area. The trail and surrounding areas are very well kept. The last 2 miles (going away from Anchorage) are a bit steeper than I thought but mission accomplished. A must do!"
