"Enjoyed a fantastic 4 days at this lodge. If you're looking to get away from it all, you can't get any further than this. Peace and quiet abounds. This is not a luxury location. If you're looking for that, this is not your place. Morning breakfasts were fantastic! The host, Cheryl, was very accommodating in so many ways. Just know that it is a haul up the mountain to get to this location. I've included a few pictures of the road for your review. You can't do it in a family, van or Prius. You better have all-wheel drive and a vehicle that is off the ground. We made it up there pretty easily on a medium size SUV."

"This was the best stay we had on our trip across 6 states! The views are amazing! The lodge and cabins are awesome! The hostess went above and beyond for us!! Cheryl was very welcoming, hospitable, and personable! She was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information with us! We had our 4 year old with us, there were toys at the lodge for her to play with and even games in our cabin to play as a family! The cabin was clean and welcoming! Would highly recommend and will be visiting again!!!"

"OMG! Totally what we expected and loved the entire experience. If you go to Yellowstone and want a rugged mountain “authentic hunting lodge” experience- then this is your place. The road up is a little “back country” experience and you shouldn’t plan to take it at night or in a car with low clearance. For those annoying “city folk who have closed minds about roughing it a bit”- do everyone a favor and stay home cause this is the real deal and nobody needs your headache, lol. Cheryl is as authentic as her hunting lodge and welcomes you to the new day with homemade blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, and tea and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and as you expect. You are on top of Yellowstone here folks looking out over Black Tail plateau. Gardiner wasn’t the family friendly town of the past, it was Jardine that used to be the place to live and you drive past the sweet little “blink you miss it” town driving up to Crevice Mountain Lodge. Crossing the sweet little bridge you wind your way up the rough bumpy road deep into the woods past mining ruins and beautiful Montana country and twisting finally into Cheryl’s sweet property with beautiful old rustic charming log cabins where George welcomes you till you lay your head down in what looks like grammas feather bed!"

"Ms. Standish is an amazing host, she made my father and I feel like we were at home. She had amazing guidance on the area and the history. Anytime I go to Montana again I will be sure to seek Ms. Standish out to introduce to my family/friends and for accommodations. A higher clearance automobile is required, you could make it up in a car but its rugged and I would not recommend. Its about 30 minute drive from Gardiner. Lots of wildlife, clean, and she does have wifi if you absolutely require it. Keep doing what you are doing because its was an amazing experience, something I will remember for life and can't wait to show my daughters and wife your property."
