"Had a great stay an Anvil Hotel. We stayed in a king room upstairs. Slept great both nights with quiet rooms and no noise issues. The room was large and we liked the styling. Heating worked well for the colder nights. Good value for the cost of the stay. Have seen other reviews with different experiences when posting this but can recommend the king room (214) and would stay again if back in Jackson. Other issues like mini bar etc seem to have been resolved as it’s very clear it’s a menu not a freebie."
"Our stay at the Anvil Hotel was great! We stayed one night and we were walking distance to restaurants and bars downtown. The check in process was great, parking was easy and the room was cozy, perfect for two people for a short stay. I also saw comments about issues with paying the security deposit upon arrival, issues with communication and lack of privacy with the rooms and hearing noise but we didn’t have any issues ! We will definitely return and I would highly recommend it to others !"
"We just got back from Jackson Hole and Yellow Stone. The first 4 nights we stayed in Jackson Hole and stayed at the Anvil. It is a great location. My only complaints are as follows: Floors are thin and at night you hear every step the person above you makes. Our room was not cleaned one of the days and after bringing it to the attention of the front desk the hotel gave us a credit of $40.95 (Big Deal) . The front staff was not very helpful. Barely spoke English and didn't know about activities in the town. We ordered hot chocolate and bought cookies to go with it to the tune of $15.00. The hot chocolate was luke warm and the cookies were stale. We do a lot of traveling and stay in a lot of hotels and this was a big disappointment. Would not stay there again."
"We really wanted to love this place but it fell short in many ways. First of all, the location is amazing. It’s a minute walk from the town square and lots of great shops and restaurants. It’s also dog friendly which is great. The issues we experienced were similar to those that have reviewed this place. What is most disappointing is that a lot of the issues others have experienced in previous stays clearly haven’t been fixed. First, we were in a room close to the lobby and below what we think was the office or where the cleaning staff work from. It was extremely loud with banging around and stomping very late into the night, until around 1-2am, and starting back up at 5-6am. Doors were constantly being slammed and you could hear everything which kept us up most of the night. Secondly, the plumbing was horrible. Our sink didn’t drain, the shower dripped, and the hot water ran out pretty quickly (within ~15-20 min which was not ideal for two people showering). Thirdly, the room we were in (deluxe queen) was so incredibly small. For a quick stay it would probably be fine but it being winter and extremely cold outside, we would liked have like to lounge a bit more comfortably. Lastly, the beds weren’t comfortable. The linens didn’t fit the bed and would come off the mattress. The blanket was very small, almost a full sized blanket. For the price, not worth your stay. We ended up cutting our stay short a day for above reasons."
"Great location for walking on the edge of Downtown Jackson. Thoughtful service at the front desk, providing free drip coffee and tea to keep you warm while you enjoy a stroll through town. Room was clean and pet friendly, bed was comfortable, and a mini fridge was available for your leftovers or ski lift lunches. We came during the off season (November) which we didn’t know about, but there was still plenty to do despite many businesses being closed down for a few weeks before ski season kicks off."
