West Yellowstone Lodge

"The room was nice but the disappointment here was that we booked this through Airbnb and at no point was it ever said that this is a motel and it is basically a motel. The rooms had everything you need (kitchenette) and generous supplies. They asked that you not use the TV after 9 PM or basically use it with no volume. Then we woke at almost 2 AM with the next room playing a movie on their TV with lots of volume. Maybe a more reasonable rule of not after 11 PM would be taken more seriously. Their only option offered for this time of year with no staff on site was to call the police and we weren't going to do that."

"This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Thank God a Family Emergency called us away after spending just one night in this filthy falling apart "lodge" I have never seen something that was more terrifying than the Bates Motel, snuggling up with Jack the Ripper seems less scary than this place. There were spiders nests all over the ceiling, with spiders in them, there were shared doors to other rooms that didn't lock, there was broken locks on the front door, a half access door that was supposed to be locked but the animal behind it made sure it opened enough that it could fit through it, they tried to use expanding foam to repair the roof but it didn't work so there was a ton of water damage which made the floor sag and droop. We spent about 8 hours total in the room and ended up with 3 splinters, an unexplained bruise, and a spider bite that had to be medically treated. If you value your life stay elsewhere. We booked 3 nights through booking and ended up having to leave after just one, the owner refused to offer even a partial refund when in reality my entire stay should have been refunded due to the poor conditions of this property. I dont know how they have been allowed to remain open. I guess Montana doesn't have a board of health and safety."

"The outside is a bit rough but the staff is awesome and the room is great. There is a good size fridge, a microwave, stove, dishes, books, a good sized tv. The room is extremely clean and comfortable with lots of lighting."

"Dont judge a book by its cover. The outside looks like an average motel floor but the rooms were a dream. Sanitary precautions were greatly appreciated and the staff were incredible and friendly. Would absolutely stay here again."

"Place was listed as a lodge, and said it was discounted from normal $411 price on Priceline. The reality is it’s a cheap motel with horrible parking I would never have paid the $174 we paid. We could have gotten a better room elsewhere for less. We were extremely disappointed, felt misled in what we were getting and our lesson learned is to be more careful in booking a room in the future if it’s not already familiar. We paid $133 the next night at a Holiday Inn and got an awesome room, free breakfast and wonderful parking."
