"Cabin is clean and well maintained. Visited summer 2023 - we stayed in 4 different lodging facilities in Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP and this was the best one. WiFi connection was poor even inside the main building though."
"Cons: -We rented a cabin for 2 nights, made the mistake of reserving online which added an additional 10% for a 4 minute conversation. $800 for 2 nights seems steep to me considering all of the problems that we had with just the basics, we're not fussy travelers, but it was silly the lack of attention to detail. -No shampoo, body wash, or hand soap in the dispensers. My husband jumped into the shower after a long drive, disappointing to have to towel off, walk to the lodge, talk to customer service, and then wait an hour for housekeeping to come and fill them up. -The lotion was so thick that it was impossible to pump out of the dispenser and it had a lock on it so we couldn't pull out the plunger. That's probably why it wasn't empty well as the others. Full disclosure- I'm not sure that the floor had been vacuumed, it looked pretty rough. I kept my shoes on. -The coffee service had 4 pouches of decaf, 2 of regular for 2 night's lodging. No creamer. We we asked housekeeping and were told that we needed to go back to the reception desk for, more more coffee, just the amount that should have typically been in included in our room fee. -We ordered coffee from the canteen in the lodge in the morning and were told that they had no creamer (of any sort) for the coffee, but oddly not gratis or discounted... Pros- -The location is the best. It's beautiful right next to the lake. We had a bison grazing right outside our cabin! -The beds were comfortable and the room was nicely decorated, it had a nice western motif. -The bathroom was clean. -Staying inside the park is a must. On our way out we saw a long line of cars waiting to get in around 10 and that's late October. I suggest looking into renting a rig outside of the park and camping. I'm sure that you can find something that won't put you back $900 for a couple of nights so that you can still stay in the park. Also, note that some of the trailheads do not allow RVs or large rigs, so that might effect your access."
"Don't waste your money. Many things that could go wrong, went wrong. From very rude front desk "welcome", for no reason at all, to old and smelly cabin with broken heat and other issues. Didn't sleep for a minute, as it was freezing. The staff didn't seem to care, except for a very nice young man at check-out, Noah. And, if you are hoping for a meal at the restaurant, all they served was burgers. The price quoted was over $60 less than we were charged. And, when we called to give feedback, the Xanterra agent was so amped up that she couldn't even hear our concerns. Really, just stay outside of the park, at a nicer place for better rate, and drive in."
"The location is supposed to be the perfect place to stay in Yellowstone., but we were very disapointed. It is very expensive for what you get and the staff is terrible. Our room did not have hot water and it was impossible to get another one even if a lot of them were available. The staff knew it before we checked in, but did not inform us. On top, we have been asked to wait for the maintenance team in the room during 2 hours but no one show up.The restaurant was a disgusting fast food. This is unfortunate as the nature around is beautiful."
"It's a wonderful experience in Yellowstone cabins. They did some renovation and cabin looks awesome and new. The room is clean and comfortable. And we enjoyed the gorgeous view of Yellowstone lake sitting on the wood rocking chair at the front deck of main lodge. Super friendly staff. Have to say you can barely get access to Wifi around this area but it's a good chance to get rid of phone and enjoy the silence and beauty of nature❤️"
