About Us
Located in Juneau, Alaska, the Auke Recreation Area is a popular park and tourist attraction on the northern shoreline of Auke Bay. It is important to pack-in, pack-out garbage and to stay on developed paths to protect tree root systems.
Visitors are also reminded to bring their own firewood and to follow regulations regarding fires in fireplaces, grills, and fire rings. It is prohibited to use wood pallets for fires and to leave any refuse, debris, or litter behind. Before departing, visitors must ensure fires are extinguished, grills and tables are cleaned, and all trash is removed from the picnic area.
