What truly sets Teton Training Center apart is not just its top-notch facilities or the quality of the training, but the people, especially Professor John, the owner and lead instructor. His positivity permeates through the gym, creating an environment where everyone is motivated to give their best. John’s approach to teaching is a perfect blend of discipline and humor, making the rigorous training sessions enjoyable and something to look forward to. Training under Professor John, I was impressed by his deep knowledge of Jiu Jitsu, his attention to detail, and his dedication to each student's growth, regardless of their skill level. It’s rare to find an instructor who genuinely cares about your progress both on and off the mats, and John is one of those rare gems. The camaraderie among the members at Teton Training Center is remarkable. There's a strong sense of community and support for one another, which made my time there even more special. Both my 8 year old and I have been attending classes for over 2 years at this point and it’s one of the best decisions I have made not only for myself but also for my son, as a father. JC and his instructors are the real deal and care deeply about your individual Jiu Jitsu journey, but also about helping to foster positive contributors in society. You can tell in the way they instruct that this is much more than a job or business for them. "I wanted to experience a Gracie CTC. The nearest one is an 8 hour drive away, but boy am I glad I made the journey! JC and his crew were wonderful! JC was welcoming, generous with his time, and encouraging - and that was just before class! Class... was a delight! First, JC and Sofia and Quinn are just people you want to be around so that made the class fun! I got to watch the kids class. They all seemed to have a fun time warming up with games before the instruction began. When I got on the mats with everyone, they all greeted me warmly and welcomed me - they made me feel right at home. The instruction from JC clear and easy to follow. We learned a guillotine defense to rear take down... something I had never seen or done before. But with patience and encouragement from the instructors... I got it! If you are looking for a safe, friendly, professional place to train Gracie Jiu Jitsu, go try a class with these awesome folks! And even if you have to drive 8 hours... it will be worth it!!
