"I am cautious and often disappointed when searching for a new hair stylist. I will always try to explain that I have A LOT OF HAIR! Being new to The Valley, I had no idea where I was going to find a stylist that would have the patience and the expertise to foil, color, cut and style my unusually thick head of hair. After finding Pretty Little Layers on Facebook, I called and spoke to Jesse who was sympathetic to my situation and understood what I was looking for so we promptly booked my first appointment. When Jesse and I first met, she patiently listened to the outcome I was expecting, smiled, rolled up her sleeves and went on to do her thing. "I was a natural dark brunette my whole life. Not a drop of color had touch my head (box, professional or the spray can color at Halloween). Until I decided to take plung into color. The magical color I chose was purple. Jess was there to help me through this scary but amazing choice. It is not a simple task to take virgin dark brown hair to electric purple. After several hours, many laugh and a lot of butterflies. She had created the picture I had in my mind of how beautiful my hair could be purple. My hair was healthy, happy and gorgeous. "Jessey is the absolute best. She goes out of her way to accommodate you and to help you find the perfect products that you need for your hair and your style. I’m 73 and pretty set in my ways. I went over a year without a style or haircut. She got me in and gave me just a general haircut to get my hair into shape. When I was more firm about what I wanted she got me back in and gave me an easy, slightly flirty, bob that I can curl and style, I can pull it behind my ears or not or I can just let it dry naturally and go curly all over. She’s a genius. I don’t think there is a better colorist in the Valley. She is amazing. I have gone gray but she has helped me find a great shampoo and conditioner that works well with my gray. I have seen some of the creative color combinations and they are literally beautiful."
