"I wasn’t sure about coming here because of the mixed reviews, but my experience today was great. It was pretty busy at 10am on a Saturday but I was seated pretty quickly since I made an appointment. I had a deluxe pedicure and went with the cateye nail polish. I think the person who did my nails was Yumi? I’m not sure but she was so gentle and did a great job."
"Recently decided I’m only going to be coming here for pedicures only if anything, and not by myself either.. I’ve been coming here since 2014, back when prices were pretty great. I was coming here regularly for acrylics for years. I almost always sat in awkward silence. I really only ever felt comfortable when Shawna did my nails, I highly recommend her. If you can, ask for her. She’s the most polite and my nails always looked best when she was available. I’ve had some nice experiences here, I’m not going to lie. But I’ve had enough bad ones to not really want to go back. After trying a place ONCE in anchorage, I wished I had just been going out there all this time.. Nail time is very fancy looking, beautiful looking place honestly. BUT, I’ve been nicked quite a few times (at least 3- 4 times) while getting my nails done, one time a man blamed ME for it when I had done nothing, and always try my best to stay still and not be distracting. And only ONCE did someone offer me a discount because of it (bless her). I’ve also come in with hurt/sore fingers, warned them about it and everything, but they were very rude about it. Once, I’d warned the person I had a hurt finger and to please be careful, she wasn’t careful and was very rough. I had to ice my finger when I got home. And, I just can’t do the prices anymore.. I understand inflation, i understand why prices were increased, but I started feeling like I was being charged $5-$15 extra for every little thing. Cuticle care used to be included, which I LOVED. But it became extra $ for that plus extra for polish, extra for shaping, and extra if you’d like a design and I think even more extra depending on what kind of design. It all adds up fast. Once, I added up everything and said okay this is the price, at the end it was still $20 to $35 more and I wasn’t even able to figure out why. The only way I can guarantee I have a good experience is if I get a pedicure with a friend with me."
"Surprised my wife with an appointment to get a lash lift at the Eagle River location and she came out with NO lift. Her lashes looked exactly the same as if it didn’t work but $80 came out of pocket. She says it was a good experience with her cosmetologist, Judy, but sucks that the lack of results still costed full price. My wife is soft spoken and didn’t speak up but if the cosmetologist saw little to no results they should address it somehow. She will not be going back. JDS"
"I came in for a last minute toe polish and they were booked out for the day. Cameron was super kind in helping me even though I offered to go elsewhere because they didn’t have openings. They were able to squeeze me in anyway and Joey did a great job as well as being super helpful. The work was cute too! Definitely coming back."
"Very disappointed in my trip to nail time spa. I took my daughter-in-law and myself out to have our nails done only to find out that our bill was over $200 due to the extra cost of SHAPING the nails along with nail design of using the magnet for cat eye, and a little gold leaf on two fingers on each hand for my daughter-in-law. I understand additional cost for designes, but there were no designs in either set. And I would assume that shaping came with the cost of a manicure.… Won’t be going again will find a new nail place that charges reasonable prices. I did get two stars because the nail techs were very friendly but the nails we got, were uneven and not shaped as we wished, nor the links that we asked for. As soon as I got home, I use my husband’s Dremel tool to fix my nails shorten them and shake them the way that I wanted and applied nail wraps."
