Hampton Inn Anchorage

"The lady in the front desk when we booked the night of 01/21/24 was so rude. My son who has special needs was having a meltdown as he was really tired and this lady who works in the front desk told my son that he's making a lot of noise. She should've just talk to him nicely or to me but she sounded so rude. I understand that she's tired too. I let this pass that night since I considered her tired and stressed out. But I cant get it out of my head, we went home and I regret not talking back. I should've defended my son. That wasn't right."

"Hotel was nice, the front desk staff was helpful. The free airport shuttle was a bonus. However, we had to wait 15-20 minutes for more food to come out at breakfast. And the bacon and pastries were undercooked. Also got in the shower and there was no shampoo or conditioner."

"Checked in and a local family (40+ people) was having a pool party with pizza so hot tubbing was out of the question for us. At 10:00 pm, most of the party guests(kids,teens and adults) were running up and down the hall, talking in the hallways and throwing crackers in the hall. I knocked on one of the rooms they were in ,and asked an adult to try and keep the noise down because we had an early flight in the AM. The party guests used several rooms to shower and change and finally it was quieter at 10:30. We will not be staying here again if people are allowed to use the hotel in the way it was used tonight. The front desk person was less than helpful when we made a request earlier in the evening which is why we decided to just put on our headphones and wait to check out in the morning."

"Room was decent, clean, and quiet. Convenient location, and easy to find. The minor issues we had were the condition of the hot tub needs to be addressed. It was dirty, and had paint peeling. The 2nd issue was the lack of coffee, sugar, & creamer, which have been readily available in every other Hampton I’ve stayed in. When I asked the front desk if they could refill the coffee, I was told there was coffee in my room. I drink coffee throughout the day, and enjoy the convenience of having the coffee’s available in the lobby! When I asked about the empty sugar, creamer container, I was basically ignored. We paid FULL price, and will likely stay at a different location the next time."

"As far as Hampton Inns go, this is pretty standard. But I really want to compliment the staff at this one! They were welcoming before I arrived with multiple emails and texts, throughout my stay, and checkout. Not sure if it was just because I was Hilton Honors, but I've had the same status all year and none of the other many properties have been so kind and attentive! Plus, this was the biggest welcome amenity I've gotten anywhere either. Definitely would return to stay here just for the service!"
