Wyoming Stargazing Office
About the Business
The Wyoming Stargazing Office, located at 1135 Maple Way in Jackson, Wyoming, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the wonders of astronomy accessible to all. Our knowledgeable guides lead stargazing programs in Grand Teton National Park, providing educational experiences for both public and private groups. Proceeds from private programs support our efforts to offer affordable programming to schools, free public events, and initiatives to Save Our Night Skies.
Our mission is to inspire curiosity and learning through Wyoming's incredible skies and beyond, with a vision to establish a space science discovery center in Jackson Hole. We offer a variety of programs, including stargazing, solar astronomy, planetarium shows, indoor presentations, and virtual options.
Thanks to support from Teton County School District #1 and the Community Foundation of JH, our JEDI in STEM Initiative has been a success. Wyoming Stargazing is an official affiliate of the International Dark Sky Association, advocating for the conservation of dark night skies and educating about the dangers of light pollution.

"This was absolutely the coolest thing I’ve done in quite some time. We went to the public stargazing. Now that we know what to expect I really want to see and learn more. Thank you so so much for doing this."
"Dr. Sam is extremely knowledgeable and nice. He is so accommodating and lets you sit and watch the stars and other celestial bodies for as long as you like. We went on a clear night and so I was able to see the Milky Way for the first time, which was a milestone experience for me. You will feel so blessed to have gone on a stargazing tour with Dr. Sam to watch the vast, dark skies of Wyoming!"
"My wife Jani and I went on a Stargazing tour with Wyoming Stargazing on August 10, 2023. Nicole was our leader. Boy, did we have the time of our lives! It was a beautiful, clear sky lit up by the stars and the Milky Way. And, Nicole set up the telescope to get a clear view of several stars, a binary star system, several nebulae, the highlight being Saturn and its rings! She was clearly knowledgeable about the night sky and it was great to see her excitement when she was explaining about the heavenly bodies; it was clear she is passionate about astronomy! This tour was clearly one of the highlights of our trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Thank you Wyoming Stargazing and special thanks to Nicole."
"WONDERFUL. BRING A WARM DRINK & LAYERS. Guide provided blankets and plenty of knowledge. My 17 yr old space junkie loved the deep conversations all while learning these are his words: The stargazing experience was out of this world! We got to see everything from Arcturus, to Mars, to Vega and everything in between."
"My husband and I did a private stargazing trip with Dave and Rachel a couple weeks ago and it was such an awesomeeee experience. Dave and Rachel were amazing guides. We loved them! This experience was one of the highlights of our honeymoon! Definitely recommend!!!!"
