Canyon Visitor Education Center

"Was pleasantly surprised to see the Canyon Visitor Education Center open in winter during a snow coach tour into the heart of Yellowstone. Very impressive (newer) facility and great information about the geology and wildlife associated with the Grand Canyon area of Yellowstone. Definitely worth stopping in to get the lay of the land. "On Aug 25, 2006, Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne helped Yellowstone National Park celebrate the 90th anniversary of the National Park Service and christened the park’s new Canyon Visitor Education Center, the first major visitor center development in the park in more than 30 years." The exhibits were easy to digest and provided a plethora of interesting facts and info about the park especially how it formed from volcanic and glacial activity."
