"WHAT A GREAT DAY we had on the Snake River! I highly recommend Mad River! Super professional and our guide Mr Jeff was the best! If you are looking for some outdoor adventure give them a call"
"Really friendly outfit, had a great time. Make sure to wear water shoes with a heel, not flip flops, otherwise you might lose them! Also consider getting those "croakie" things (they rope your sunglasses around your neck so they don't fall off). Actual time in river was about 1hr15min (~7.5 miles along the Snake River), with ~30 min bus rides to/from the drop points. Saw some bald eagles (including a molting adolescent), osprey, and a family of beavers along the route. Went through 6 sections of rapids, with levels of 1-3. There are restrooms and changing rooms at their location, there's a restroom at the boat launch, and restrooms and changing rooms where you end the trip at boat pickup (before the return bus trip). There's a pretty long hike back from the boat drop to get to the buses (like half a mile), but the trail is well groomed and easy enough to follow (it was just a nuisance). We picked this company because they were cheaper than the other two outfits in Jackson Hole with nearly identical reviews. (The other two companies are located right in town on the main strip, and had bus loads of people, with their boats packed to the brim. I'm very glad we picked the cheaper and less popular option to have a better rafting experience where we got to take our time going down the river, enjoy the trip, and observe all the wildlife along the shoreline). Highly recommend, would use them again. Ree was our river guide and Dustin was our driver."
"Swimmin Jimmy the carnage king was the best guide ever!!! I have nothing negative to say about our experience. We went on the slow float one day and the white water rapids the next day. We had Jimmy as our guide both times and would request him again in a heart beat. This company knows their stuff from booking, to wet suites to transportation and everything in between. They make sure you have a whole lot of fun on your ride. They do a great job of educating you and walking you through anything you need to know and answer all your questions. Jimmy had a great sense of humor and kept us laughing the whole time. I would recommend this company to anyone. Side note… the sack lunch they give you for the slow float was pretty dang good. Not something cheap or small and the water bottle was a great souvenir. We’ll definitely be back again."
"We had a wonderful, relaxed float trip covering 13 miles of river, and saw several nests with adult and juvenile eagles, pelicans, osprey, mergansers, and wide open views. Jeff was an excellent and personable guide, and Dorothy was a fun bus driver/local historian. We'll be back for a whitewater trip next time we are in the Tetons!"
