Reviews of Yellowstone Alpen Guides
"If you happen to plan a winter trip to Yellowstone, look no further than right here! You want majestic Yellowstone? They provide it. Our Private day tour was unbelievable!! Our guide was a 28 year retired Yellowstone Forest Ranger. How cool is that?! Couldn't have been more blessed!! Thanks Les and The Mechanics."
"Our Yellowstone tour with Alpen Guides was a highlight of our Yellowstone trip. Our guide, JP, was excellent. He tailored our tour to our requests, was delightful to spend the day with, and a wealth of information. The tour was a much more personal experience than some of the other larger tour groups we saw in the park (was just my family in a minivan). We were able to see some parts of the park with limited access and really got to experience Yellowstone in a special way."
"Our winter tour in Yellowstone in the Burgundy Bombardier snowcoach was incredible from start to finish! Our tour guide, Les, was so knowledgeable about the park environment (he was a park ranger for 28 years!). Les treated us with kindness and patience, and never tired of our questions! His humor and personality were added bonuses that made the trip that much more enjoyable. Touring our country's 1st park in the historic Bombardier vehicle was a once-in-a-lifetime experience - I genuinely hope these vehicles will continue to operate, as they're much more capable in the park's winter conditions than the modern vehicles with huge wheels (we actually saw one of these nearly tipped over and stuck in the snow! The individuals in this vehicle had to be separated/dispersed into different vehicles to continue their tour). During our tour, we saw Old Faithful, Beehive geyser (a very rare and unpredictable geyser!), hundreds of bison, half a dozen coyotes, and plenty of water fowl and swans. Can't wait to come back and explore more of the park! :)"
"The little buggie was so cozy and such a unique experience. Our tour guide Clark was fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and really nice. My family and I had a wonderful time on the tour, loved seeing attractions that are typically packed during the summer season. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are interested in the wildlife and geologic wonders the park has to offer. The buggie was unlike anything I had ever experienced and was so much fun!"
"We took two snow-coach tours over the Christmas break, one to Canyon and one to Old Faithful. On arrival we were told to help ourselves to hot drinks and snacks which were gratefully received after walking to the office from our hotel in the bitterly cold weather. Both tours were excellent and guides (Raya and Dave)answered all of the questions from the groups. As we arrived late, Raya also helped us to get our annual park pass at the entrance gate. We were provided with water bottles to keep (which have been using lots on our road-trip). If you are on the larger snow-coaches. it is best to leave windows open due to the condensation freezing on windows. Take an old gift card to scrape ice off inside if it does. There are stops to use the restroom, have lunch and most importantly take photos. We saw bison, coyote, bald eagle and swans whilst out on the tours. So many beautiful things to see in the park and we loved taking the tours. Thank you to the team and tour guides especially Dave for making our Christmas eve/day special."
