"The Yellowstone Hot Springs in Gardiner is a wonderful, beautiful campground. One of my favorites. Also, if you don't want to pay $15 to go in the developed pools, there's some run off that goes into the Yellowstone River right by the pavillion in the campground that you can soak in for free. Might be a little murky, but its warm and sufficient. Also, I set up camp and then floated down the river back to my campsite, which I would highly reccomend. Elk walking around campground, big mountains on both sides. Amazing."
"Tent camping depends on site you get. The ones by the road, particularly 6 & 7, are exposed & noisy/dusty from all of the traffic from the hot springs. There are no fire rings or picnic tables at these sites. Most of the rest have them. There's only porta potties - no trash or water available. I'd only stay here of I had a site by the river. Not a very good camping experience. Okay for a base for day trips."
"Reasonably priced campground. The grass was also pleasant to have in the main area. The biggest challenge is the location of the hookups. Depending on which site you are on, you may be required to run your hoses underneath the coach/trailer. Another option if you have a class A is to drive into the sites instead of backing in. Another problem with the hookups is the water is at the front of the site, the sewer is in the middle and the electric is in the back."
"We dry camped in the RV section right on the river. Lots of antelope, big horn sheep and buffalo to watch. Quiet mostly. It is located in a field that has a recycle area in the back and it is quite busy 6am to 10pm. 2 showers for women and 2 for men. Looks like they are upgrading a lot of the park. Hot tub right on the river being revamped. Tent area is right on the river too. Great base camp for Yellowstone visitors!"
"we stayed at the rv/camping area not the cabins. The place is a little weird, kind of looks like a small mobile home park that failed or never got finished but it has it's redeeming qualities. Very reasonable prices and space seems to be available even when there is nothing in yellowstone. You can stay right next to the river and hear just the water(road noise is very low). The public restroom/shower is out of texas chainsaw massacre but was a welcome amenity. My son and i fished in the river while staying there and had a good time. we would stay here again."
