Reviews of Mesa Falls Visitor Center
"Short, easy hike. Boardwalk with stairs. Beautiful falls. $5 entry on honor system."
"This is a beautiful place not too far from Yellowstone and the Tetons. The views of Upper and Lower Mesa Falls are not too far off the road on a nice paved trail. It wasn’t crowded at all when we were there. The ranger at the visitor’s center was helpful in letting us know about other things to do in the area, and the center had interesting information about the area that people of all ages can enjoy."
"We enjoyed our visit to Mesa Falls. We saw both upper and lower falls. The upper falls is a short hike from the parking lot. The visitor center also had a small gift shop."
"A must stop when in the area. We were driving from West Yellowstone to Idaho Falls via backroads. Lots of overlooks to walk out on. Very nice Rangers."
"$5 exact cash self-pay parking. Have to put money in an envelope and deposit it into a drop box and put a tag on your car. There is limited parking so if going during a holiday or weekend plan accordingly. Visitors center is open from 9:30-5:30 during summer, winter hours very and are pretty limited because they do not plow the road all year that leads to the visitor center turn off. Inside is a short history of the area and some information on local wildlife. It is a nice paved slow decline down to the lower falls that eventually turns into a boardwalk near the falls. There are some stair sections. We went with kids and a 6-month preggo and everyone did it fine with pacing. 2 private bathrooms at the beginning of the trail. Great place to visit with family, friends, anyone really. You get as close as you can to the falls without actually going over them. It is a very well made and maintained area. We are locals who visit the falls 2-3 times a year."
