"This was a really great charter! I was looking for a charter that could cater to a family fishing. My kids are age 9-16 Alan and Tanja were amazing, patient and educational. Tanja took the time to show the kids parts of the Halibut as it was gutted and let them see how the GI tract worked and what treasures could be found in there like squid beaks! We caught our Halibut in the first 45 min so left time to do some other fishing and whale watching before going back to shore. They were exactly what we were looking for in a charter. I really appreciated you talking to the kids about the balance with nature/ecosystem fishing has and to be respectful of that. Again a really great experience for the kiddos. If you are a family wanting to make this a once in a lifetime memory for your kids and that's your focus these guys are who you want taking you out!! Thanks again!!"

"If you’re looking for a trip with professionals who take what they do seriously; your safety, your fishing experience, even your learning about Alaska, the waters, the fish and animals that make the waters their home, the process of selecting locations, set ups, and equipment, you should look no further. I cannot say enough about the perfect experience my family had with Captain Alan and Tanya. They were phenomenal with us and most of all with our 7 year old son who had plenty of curiosity about everything he was seeing for the first time. It takes special people to be so invested in making sure everything was right for the adults, but also shared endless patience with our son, and we are so delighted and grateful. These are good people and great pros with plenty of good will, knowledge, and patience. To be candid, the weather did not comply with us for part of the trip and a few of the fish got away, but even with that I felt like every minute aboard was a treasure. The views were stunning and reeling in the fish was an adrenaline blast. We did nab gorgeous king salmon and our kiddo booked a meaty coho – both of which were cleaned and prepared for us to ship home via a processor – and the preparation was done in a way that became a learning experience for our son. Over the course of the afternoon he really cottoned to the idea that you pay attention, take what the waters give you, and are grateful for it when it works. Something I did not expect and am delighted he took away from this trip. From a pragmatic standpoint: the boat is fantastic and rigged for exactly what is needed for a great trip on the waters, the team is strong and easily demonstrated mastery of every aspect of the experience, and they worked with us to deliver on the mission of the day –have a safe and fun day of fishing the waters no matter the rain or windy conditions. It was straight forward to book. Captain Alan was super helpful in answering questions leading up to our time, Tanya was informative and friendly, and both are very open and willing to talk through any of the technicalities of what they were managing us though to the degree we were interested. I’ll emphasize one more time – we specifically were looking for an experience for our family including our 7 year old. I saw from a review that Captain Alan and Tanya were excellent with kids and that sold me enough to give them a call. Best call we made on a three-week trip to Alaska. They were fantastic and exceptionally kind. If you have a family you are bringing with you, especially with curious kids with lots of questions, these are the people you want to work with. Cheers. "What an Amazing fishing trip!! Allen and Tanya REALLY know how to put us on the fish. We were fishing for Halibet. My dad caught 3 & I caught 5. We had couple others go with us. Everyone on board caught fish. They were biting so good Tonya was really getting a work out, that's a good thing tho. The weather was just amazing, clear skies with calm waters. Everyone had a Blast. We all shipped one fish back to MN. Just got them in the mail this morning, I know what I'll be eating tonight!! Allen, Tonya is definitely a keeper!! Lol Allen and Tonya are GREAT at what they do. Definitely Highly Recommend them to anyone who is in the Juneau area. Such amazing and kind people!! Loved the time we were with them. Hope to back there some day & do it all over!! "We booked two separate trips with Captain Alan and Deck boss Tanja. The first was an afternoon whale watching tour. We were extremely blessed to get to see a baby humpback that was having so much fun playing in and out of the water. He really put on a show! It was also a sweet moment to witness another baby reunite with the Mama humpback and swim side by side in unison. Just a truly magical afternoon watching some of Gods creatures! The second trip we booked was for the following day and it was an 8 hour halibut and salmon fishing trip. We already knew how great Captain Alan and Tanja were as people and spending even more time with confirmed that! Both were super accommodating and patient teaching us the correct techniques and were just as excited as we were when we landed a fish! We had an incredible day on the water, which is truly the best way to experience Alaska! I highly recommend booking with Captain Alan and Tanja you won’t regret it!"
