"We visited Skagway during the off season not realising that most of the shops and museums would be closed. Thankfully the staff in the visitor center were happy to open the museum for my partner and I, which we really appreciated. The museum itself was really informative and had enough interactivity to keep us engaged throughout. Would definitely recommend as a must visit to learn about the history of the region."
"Great exhibits on Skagway and the Yukon Gold Rush. Something that was particularly interesting for me to see were the "cribs" where women "entertained" the miners. It's cool that the various buildings throughout Skagway are all a part of the historic site. Makes it feel like a living, outdoor museum."

They have passport stamps and stickers but they are in different buildings. We also enjoyed the free 25-minute video that explained the history of Skagway and the Gold Rush."

"This was my second time visiting Skagway, and the main thing I wanted to do was to return to the Visitor Center and to visit the Gold Rush Museum. The story of the Gold Rush, the creative flow of the panels and exhibits mesmerized me me all over again. This museum makes great use of its space! If you are interested in history, you must stop by here when you visit Skagway. I guarantee that you will find it to be one of the top places to visit in this darling little historic town."
