"We had a fantastic tour with Michele. There were 11 of us, including 5 kids ages 7, 12, 13, 15 & 15 and this tour was the highlight of our trip. Booking was easy, we had the bus to ourselves and it was very comfortable. Michele was super knowledgeable about the area and its history and we really enjoyed our time with her. When she spotted wildlife she pulled over to set up her telescope in addition to taking us so many beautiful destinations. The musher camp was so much fun and Michele thoughtfully sent us pictures and videos she had taken from our sled dog ride. I highly recommend Trail of '98 Tours!"
"Our group of 14 had a fantastic tour into the Yukon during our Skagway cruise port in June 2023. If you are traveling with a group of family and/or friends, do not hesitate to book this tour! Communication with Michele was excellent, and Tom was a wonderful & knowledgeable tour guide. We travelled in a comfortable 24-passenger bus which gave everyone plenty of room to spread out, and Tom kept everyone happy with air conditioning adjustments as needed. We were blessed with beautiful weather, and Tom stopped at plenty of scenic overlooks between the Skagway port and our furthest destination (the stunning Emerald Lake), helping our group to spot wildlife along the way. We enjoyed exploring the town of Carcross on our own for lunch, and made it back to Skagway in time to stroll through town, check out the shops & brewery, and even hike to Yakutania Point & Smugglers Cove. Strongly recommend a tour with Trail of '98!"
"Our Skagway tour with Tom was the highlight of our Alaskan Cruise! We spent the day in clean and comfortable shuttle with huge windows to soak up all the amazing views. Tom was a wealth of information and even listened to our stories! I'm sharing photos of the reflection of the mountain on the lake that put Bob Ross to shame. And then the Emerald Lake that looked emerald in the light. So so pretty! (And this isn't even mentioning that we saw bears, arctic goats, bald eagles and more). Very glad we didn't do the train like every other person on the cruise. Our trip was special. His wife Michelle made us cupcakes for my parents anniversary. It doesn't get more feel good than that!"
"Fantastic experience. Private tour for just the two of us. Michele did an excellent job explaining the history of this Alaskan gold rush town - Skagway. After touring the town, we drove the Trail of '98 to White Pass Summit. Stopped at many breathtaking outlooks. Even saw a black bear meandering up the mountainside. During the course of the tour, Michele treated us just like family. This tour is very affordable easy trip to book and a much better experience than a large group cruise ship excursion. Great communication with the owner."
"Michelle from Trail of 98' Tours was amazing! Easy pick up at the port, then off to are adventure in Skagway. Learning all about the history of the Gold Rush, going into British Columbia and seeing the beautiful scenery. All while on a private tour in an air-conditioned bus with large windows to look at all the scenery. Michelle made a special point to recognize my daughter Paige's 18th birthday by making homemade cinnamon cupcakes. You won't be disappointed, so book with Michelle and Tom next time you're in Skagway!"
