"Worst experience ever. I spoke with two different employees at Alliance Title at Driggs Idaho to not give keys to buyer until a specific date and they both assured me they would not give the keys to the buyers until the house was recorded and I found out that the keys were given to the buyers at 9 am the day before the home closed and was recorded. The house was supposed to close on a Friday and on Monday I called and verified before I signed that the keys to the house and closing would not be until Friday and they assured me that I was the seller and that is my decision and the keys would not be given out before it was recorded on Friday. I was out of state at the time and received no phone call asking if they could give the keys out 24 hours in advance and did not know until the evening before closing (after Alliance was closed) that they got the keys and are moving in. I called Alliance and left a message and no one called me back the whole next day, so I called the following day and all they could say is sorry. This was legally unacceptable and very disappointing."

"Mostly great transaction with very friendly staff. The experience was soured a bit by the seller refusing to honor the agreement to settle up on estimated pro-rated property taxes and Alliance not having any interest in helping to resolve that. Lesson learned - make sure there is extra money left in escrow to resolve after-closing costs and don't assume the title company is taking care of all the details."
