Lava Mountain Lodge

"One of my favorite places to work. Haven’t been back in a while. To busy working. However, I tell just about everybody I meet. Dubois area is Great for Snow Machines. Lava is now under new owners, I have never met. Managers are some good people. I don’t know about staff. I don’t just nobody except myself when it comes to cleaning anything. Haven’t seen what rooms are like anymore. Maybe someday. Restaurant on property, used to be Delicious, haven’t been there either. Just go and find out for yourself."

"We stopped in while snowmobiling to grab gas and a drink, the staff was very friendly and made a great Bloody Mary and memosa. Very nice building and the fireplace roaring was a nice treat to watch and warm up to"

"Had a great breakfast on the way to Jackson today. New cooks doing a few New Orleans style Cajun dishes. Have had the beignets a few times! They do it right. And very generous portions. You won’t leave here feeling hungry!"

"Amazing staff. They were overly helpful and tried hard to meet the needs of our group of 19. Rooms priced fair. Great location. The only negative is that the food is extremely overpriced compared to others in the area. The convenience of having gas food and lodging all at one place was great."

"Stayed here for 4 / 5 nights whilst visiting the nearby Grand Tetons. When staying in these sorts of areas [unless paying the big bucks] this is the type of accommodation on offer, we had a hut with 2 double beds and for what we paid it was a steel. Were told no bedding provided but on arrival some had kindly been provided. Only visited the bar area once [balcony area to the rear with stunning views] and the female waitress was very friendly. Some small minor improvements would make a big difference, could have been a little cleaner [hut & communal shower / toilet areas], mattresses could have been a little softer and could have done with a change machine for showers which took quarters but again for what we paid no complaints and would happily stay here again."
