Rainbow Ranch Lodge

"Beautiful (renovated) lodge surrounded by Montana river/ hills, in a quiet area (but nearby Big Sky ski resort). Cosy lounge with bar and fireplace. Luxurious whirlpool build on top of a little creek, with a fireplace!. Hiking trail starting directly behind the hotel. Very (intrinsic) friendly, helpful and engaged personnel. The general manager is also very flexible and customer friendly (this is appreciated!). We also liked it is still small scale (only a few rooms and people). Fresh breakfast. Overall a great vacation place to relax. We would recommend this lodge and would like to come back. The lodge also has a very good restaurant " Wild Caddis" (The chef (and his team) can cook!, high quality /special food and reasonable/good size portions! (which combi is rare to find lately))."

"We visited Rainbow Ranch for a wedding venue walkthrough as we were visiting Bozeman and Big Sky to look at potential options for our destination wedding. We visited a few other spots but Rainbow was the only venue in Big Sky and we made the hour drive there from Bozeman specifically to view the venue. Upon arrival the kind front desk employee informed us that the coordinator for events was not on the property. We had scheduled this appointment in mid-January and had confirmed the date and time before flying out here from the East Coast. The staff at the venue were able to get the coordinator on the phone and informed us that they would be unable to make it to our scheduled appointment time - staff at the hotel told us this individual was skiing. Upon speaking with the coordinator, they apologized and offered that we walk the property ourselves and set up a call for later- completely disregarding that we were in town for a short period from across the country. We declined to walk the property ourselves and instead found another employee we asked to show us around so we could at least make the most of our time there. No other arrangement was made or offered to us by the original coordinator who blatantly forgot our appointment. The few stars I can give this place are for this associate who took the time to show us the place - they were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, we appreciated them making time for us. Aside from the extremely poor customer service we received, we felt that this location was too close to the road (compared to other venues we had visited that were set back) and that the rooms were a bit outdated. We most likely would not have picked this place even if our appointment time was kept but we did want to make note of our experience for other couples who might potentially be considering this venue for their wedding."

"Rainbow Ranch Lodge is an amazing place to stay!!! The cabins are beautiful and the scenery is breathtaking! All of the staff were fantastic and put customer service and satisfaction above all! Our room was just what we were hoping for, and the atmosphere as a whole felt like we were the only people there (which we loved!). OH AND THE FOOD!!!! Breakfast was great every morning, but DINNER?? Their dinner service almost made me cry, it was so good!!!! Worth EVERY penny. The head chef might give Gordon Ramsay a run for his money!! I couldn’t imagine vacationing anywhere else."

"Five Stars isn't enough! Rainbow Ranch did not disappoint. My husband and I stayed for a portion of our cross county honeymoon. Everything we read/saw online did not do this place justice. From the moment we pulled into the driveway everything was magical. The location was fairly simple to get to from Bozeman. The views were incredible, we even met a few locals that were happy to show us around the trails. The cabin feel with hotel amenities was exactly what we were looking for. I could rant and rave about the location/lodge itself but really it was the staff that has us planning another trip to Rainbow Ranch Lodge summer 2024. I didn't catch all of the front desk staff names, but they were all oh so helpful: from answering our questions, helping us plan activities to starting our cabin fire any hour. We had dinner prepared by the head Chef, Tony. The food was perfectly prepared and portions unfortunately did not leave room for dessert (I will have to plan ahead next time HA). Our server was Francisco. He was very attentive and respectful to our wants/needs. Helped guide us through the menu without making us feel rushed. It was a very intimate but laid back setting at the same time. We chose to seat outside and he offered us an outdoor heating lamp which we polite declined, to enjoy the Big Sky as it was intended. =) After dinner we retired to the bar where Christian continued to take excellent care of us. He made us feel like we were friends/family visiting, not paying guests. You can build a cabin/lodge anywhere. The staff is truly what makes this place one of a kind. I do hope when my husband and I return we are met with the friendly faces we met this summer."

"This Ranch is amazing! The staff was friendly, Steve made us some great cocktails (little pricey, $16/cocktails and $8 beer can ) and the food was great too. The room were spacious, confortable and clean. You are right next to the river and near a beautiful hiking trail."
