Wonderland Cafe & Lodge

"We stayed in the lodge for three nights and had a fantastic stay. The lodge is located just outside of Yellowstone, 10 minutes from hot springs, and within driving distance of hikes and cross country skiing. My only complaint about the room was their Wifi was so slow it was unusable, making it difficult to stream TV shows or get any remote work done. The host (Stacey), however, was incredibly attentive with requests/questions and provided us with anything extra we needed. The restaurant was fantastic and their staff are absolutely lovely. Everybody was so courteous and kind, our waitress remembered our order from the night before when trying to think of a bottle of wine to buy, and the morning cafe staff made great coffee and pastries. If you're looking for a place to stay near Yellowstone, look no further; the wonderland cafe and lodge is fairly priced, perfectly located and able to accommodate many vacation needs."

"We had early dinner - the chili is really good and unctuous, highly recommend on a cold day. Montana burger was great, better than what we had in Bozeman. Service was friendly and everything came out quickly. Would recommend if in the area."

"Yesterday we went to Wonderland for an impromptu lunch. I had the Garlic Bread app and a cup of tomato soup. We walked in right before a large tour bus but still had amazing service. Macie? I think was our server but Jessie was also incredibly kind. Three of us ate lunch at the bar, the food, service and atmosphere were all wonderful. Thanks"

"Went for lunch and some was good, some not. The elk chili was great, if you're going for that then get it and you won't be disappointed. I chose the caldera burger which was not bad but the regular seasoned fries were extremely over salted to the point where it was difficult to eat many. We had a large party of 2 groups together totalling 10 of us on 2 seperate tickets. Since we were a large table, an automatic 20% tip was put on each of our bill. That's not ok. Especially not ok when the service was sub-par. After the food was dropped off and one trip back with some ranch for the kids, that was the end of our server until he dropped off the tickets. No refills on water, no checking in on the food, no ask if we wanted anything else, nothing. And the demand a 20% tip for that? I get that it's Gardiner, Montana and they are trying to gather up as much tourist money as they can as most people will stop once and continue on their way. We live in the area and travel here several times a year and with the demand for such a high tip with minimal service and a mix of good food with not so great, I will eat somewhere else next time for sure."

"Such a great spot. We had a delicious dinner here-- I had the stuffed portobello mushroom, which was flavorful and satisfying-- not always the case for the vegetarian option. My husband raved about the Elk Chili mac and cheese-- honestly says it's the best mac and cheese he's ever had. Plus, we sat at the bar with a wonderful older man who is a wildlife photographer, and got to hear his amazing stories while we enjoyed a delicious dinner. The staff were friendly, prompt and deserve an extra star on this review. Highly recommend."
