"Lamar Valley is an enchanting place in East Yellowstone home to many a bison. You might chance upon a herd relaxing in the distance or up close passing by your car. You will also find many deer-like creatures in the part of the lark. There are many stops along the way. If you're patient enough, you might also witness the elusive grizzly bear."
"We loved Lamar Valley in Yellowstone. It's undeniably one of the most beautiful places to explore, conveniently close to the North entrance. If you're enthusiastic about wildlife sightings, this is an absolute must-visit. During our time here, we saw plenty of bison as well as elk."
"We chose to exit north east, which drove through Lamar Valley. Definitely the best choice to be able to see plenty of wildlife in its natural habitat. Also a great scenic drive out of yellowstone to get to Cody."
"Lamar Valley in Yellowstone is one of the most beautiful places. It is close to the North entrance and also conveniently located from Canyon village lodge and cabins. If you are keen on wildlife sighting this is a must visit for you. We saw countless number of bisons and a couple of black bear too drinking water far away. The bisons were literally on the streets causing traffic jam which is not unusual for Yellowstone. The best time to go here is either early morning or late evening just before sunset. We even saw a beautiful rainbow which has the perfect arc. You can hit a few construction areas on the road but it is not terrible. This is highly recommended if you are visiting Yellowstone National park."
"Lamar Valley is renowned for its abundant wildlife and is a must-visit destination within Yellowstone. To maximize your chances of spotting animals, it's best to start early, around 4:30 am, when they come out to cross the roads in search of food. Arriving early is essential, as the area gets crowded later in the morning, with people parking their cars on the sidewalk to observe wildlife. During our trip, we were fortunate to witness numerous bison and elk crossing the road, and we were even luckier to catch a glimpse of a wolf and a bear, making our experience truly unforgettable. Keep in mind that Lamar Valley's remote location means there are limited amenities, so be prepared by bringing enough water and food if you plan to stay for the whole day. The valley offers various trails for exploration, but always stay vigilant for bears while trekking."
