"amazing service, great pitchers of beer, but the worst sticky toffee pudding of my life. dry, dense, no ice cream, cold, and disgusting. the grilled cheese was great! the fries are amazing, fire and ice is good, the winter warmers are lovely, and the staff are the sweetest ever!"
"Sitzmark is better for a place to hang out, get some drinks, and enjoy whatever nighttime event they have going on. It was Trivia Tuesday when we went. The place was packed and fun. If I was only reviewing Sitzmark as a bar, I would give it a 5. But, I'm reviewing the food too. Chili - Pretty good. I would get it again. Fish n chips - Absolutely not. The fish was arguably the worst looking fish I've seen. Please do not get the fish n chips. Kids sliders - I thought they looked good, but my 10 year old did not like them. Go for the bar and just accept what you get for food."
"First time at Alyeska and decided to try this place. These wings were insane. Crispy, alot of meat and juicy. Hit this place up immediately."
"I hope the Management reads this review. As someone who has been a regular at Sitzmark in Girdwood for over a decade, it pains me to witness the decline in quality following the introduction of new management. My recent visit during the Christmas holiday weekend was a stark reminder of how much has changed β and not for the better. The Sitzmark has always been known for its lively ambiance and satisfying comfort food, making it a beloved spot among both locals and tourists. In the past, ordering Nachos was a no-brainer. They were a crowd-pleaser, generously portioned and topped with a hearty serving of meat. However, this time, the nachos were a shadow of their former glory. The portion was meager, barely enough chips to be considered a meal, and, to my disappointment, they came without any meat. It's disheartening to see such a popular item reduced to this state. The wings I ordered were tasty but not immune to the changes. They were noticeably overpriced compared to previous years. While I appreciate good quality food, the cost did not seem justified, especially considering the overall decline in the dining experience. Another letdown was the cranberry juice, which was unmistakably watered down. It's small details like this that contribute to the overall dining experience, and it was disheartening to find even simple beverages compromised. The Sitzmark holds a special place in the hearts of many Alaskans and visitors to our beautiful state. It's been a staple for good food, great company, and memorable moments. Unfortunately, the new management seems to be steering away from what made the Sitzmark a cherished establishment. The hike in prices, coupled with the downturn in food quality, is a troubling trend. I sincerely hope that the management reconsiders their current approach. The Sitzmark is more than just a restaurant; it's a part of our community's fabric, a place where memories are made. It's disheartening to see it lose its charm and appeal. As a long-time patron, I can't help but feel that the new management is alienating its core customers, and I hope they take this feedback to heart to restore the Sitzmark to its former glory."
"We were super hungry and stopped in here on a whim since the place we had planned to go was closed. We ordered fried cauliflower bites, wings, a burger, bison chili and a couple of orders of grilled cheese & tomato bisque. Everyone loved their meal and was very happy we stopped here. We played pool after dinner and had fun watching the ski slopes from the warm dining area. It was a great vibe, reasonable prices and good food. Definitely a win win win."
