"Lora is the best!!! I struggled a few things before seeing a Lora. But I actually have a sense of humor and can enjoy laughing. When I was a little girl I would sing with my mom while she played with my hair. I’m 30 years old and that little child has came out again to sing. My emotional brain doesn’t take over like it did, now I can work through problems easier and trust myself. I can’t tell you how much Lora has helped me grow in such a short time. Lora listens to your struggles or problems with no judgement. Such a kind soul."
"Dr. Lonsberry has helped me in more ways than I can count, but one specific affliction worth mentioning (for its lack of a known cure!) is for Chronic Blushing. Through learning how to regulate my brain activity, I have overcome my personal problem of chronic blushing. It has enabled me to identify when I’m going to experience Chronic Blushing episodes and to quickly overcome them by moving to a calm place mentally. Dr. Lonsberry transforms lives by working the problem(s) from the inside out. Rather than write a prescription and send you on your way, she works with you to identify the actual thought/brain patterns that your problems stem from and she helps you train your brain to identify and avoid these negative thought patterns. I compare this therapy to overcoming addiction- one cannot easily overcome addiction without a fundamental change in lifestyle and the way they think or view things. Similarly, I think in order to be receptive to this treatment and reach one’s full potential, it is crucial to be willing to change completely. Trust that if you habituate yourself to remembering and practicing the techniques you learn (focused breathing, allowing yourself to be calm and in the moment), you will become who you want to be. I could go on and on about how pleased I am to have met Lora Lonsberry and what a positive asset her sessions have proven to be in my life. I would recommend her to anyone."
"My first neurofeedback (NFB) experience with Dr. Lonsberry was about six years ago. She is an absolute tactician with this stuff! NFB has been described as "meditation on steroids." Based on personal experience, I completely agree . Oh, and it happens to be super fun :)"
"I do not recommend this practice/Doctor for people suffering from severe panic disorder or PTSD. I had a panic attack while driving to an appointment, so I pulled over (responsibly) to the side of the road and waited it out, and I was charged for missing my appointment, which fact is in her contract (to be fair).....which caused my anxiety to worsen- knowing I could either drive in that state or not, but either way I was paying her $100.00. I felt that the money was more important than my safety or the safety of others on the road. Not to mention, there was never anyone before or after me when I went to my appointments (in her home) so I wasn't taking anybody's "time" away from her. In addition, I never received one ounce of input or feedback from her, as a Doctor, about what she was watching on the screen as I did the bio exercises. Once she said "WHOA!"- not exactly helpful and somewhat alarming. Needless to say, I found another, more reasonable doctor and one I feel cares and UNDERSTANDS more about my condition/health than the money I paid to sit at Dr. Lonsberry's house for a few minutes and hear nothing in the way of my improvement, what was actually transpiring during my sessions, any progress or scientific information, except for the books I read or glanced at in her meeting space. Finally, she threatened "collections" in a letter after I made payment arrangements for the unpaid appointment- that she accepted- and 30 days had not passed (legally not possible, btw). I understand it is a "business", but this is health care and it should be more conducive to the disorders you are dealing with. My entire experience with Dr. Lonsberry made my condition worse. It saddens me."
"Went for couples counseling, met once individually, then met as a couple, then again individually and she recommended a breakup after only meeting for 40 minutes (how can anyone know a couple or a single person and their intentions in such a short timeframe?). Who goes to couples counseling to be judged and then for the counselor to go behind your back after only knowing someone for a brief moment and suggest a breakup to the other partner. I thought counseling was to help with your mutual goal, not divert one or the other in an opposite direction, Would not recommend for couples counseling."
