"Every time I've gone the employees are very cheerful and helpful. They are always willing to help me find something I need or see if there's anything in the back."
"I usually love the sandwiches but today I ordered a sandwich from the commissary and it had one slice of meat on it. Across the whole sandwich there were three pieces spread out which seems like a rip off to me."
"Must have base access to shop at the commissary. Generally speaking I enjoy shopping at the commissary and find the prices better than out in town prices. Selection and availability is my only complaint. They are often out of items that I want and have to purchase out in town anyway."
"EDIT: While there seems to be an explosion of price gouging, there definitely seems to be an adjustment in prices recently to reflect those from stores off base at a lower price. While Costco still provides more benefits, I can go in without feel like I'm just being taken advantage of. ----- With all the inflation, the commissary seems to have failed the service members who shop there with some prices that have grown faster than others. For me, Costco is the only place I trust for getting the best prices that aren't as inflated. I just hope they haven't joined in on the price gouging game. In these times, maybe the commissary should stop making people hunt for deals and just automatically give the coupon/discount price."
"This is one of my main go to for shopping. It is a little out of the way for me but still worth it for the prices. Like 70%-80% of the item are cheaper than other stores. I would say it is mostly produce that costs more. Overall cheaper. Avoid the busy times if you can. And dont forget to tip your bagger, they work for tips."
