"So my things were stolen by a homeless person on 2/29/24 around 5 maybe. I lead them away from the area we were in. As she threatened to unalive me I went to the pro desk and asked them to call for security or a manager. All four people behind the desk said no. F@c{ all of them by the way. So I went to a register next to them. And asked the checkout girls there to call. They helped. The homeless woman came back at me talking crazy and I moved into the register area asking the girls if there was anything I could use as a weapon. She ended up passing me and a female manager finally came and really didn’t do anything but get in the middle of us. As the crazy woman who stole my things went outside the manager said I shouldn’t leave my stuff lying around and indicating it was my fault she took my things. F@c{ her too. Thankfully there was an employee that saw it and said it wasn’t my fault and that she drove a handicap cart up to my work area I was in and took my stuff. I again asked them to get security and the employees laughed at me and said, “what security, we don’t have security.” I’m disgusted by the fact they won’t do anything to keep the safety of their employees, customers or contractors from these people. It is very obvious they have a homeless problem and m as well just let them steal enough things to build a better city behind their building instead of just letting them live in their tents and broke down campers behind the building. Please use my information like you said you would. Not like you tried to help me in the first place. Bet you’re going to tell me how it’s my fault you let them do this to anyone whom enters that store. Shameful, pathetic and you’re encouraging San Francisco style behavior. Disgraceful"
"Whatever you do, stay away from this place! I had a horrible experience and disrespect from their “rental manager” Renee regarding incompetence of her own team, meaning her. They rented to my contractor broken insulation blowing machine, after 3 days of telling him to come back tomorrow they will have it and after double checking it and making sure it works. It should’ve been free with $1,000 of insulation purchased, at this point it’s costing me $320 for all of the time that was put into it. I happened to be at Home Depot 3 h after he took it from there, finally set it up to turn it on and see it’s not working properly. So he asked me to tell them that it’s not working and if they have another one which they didn’t as I was told by Megan. So Renee, if you have contractor that is working per hour, you pay him per hour, you don’t tell him for his time invested to go and take it up with other people especially when you see who you’re dealing with. When you have a customer that spends yearly approximately 30-50k at lowes and comes at your store instead, you don’t tell them you won’t fix issue you created and you certainly don’t ask them which part of what you’re saying they don’t understand. Renee had audacity after I explained her why I’m upset 3x and how they’re costing me $ that I have to pay contractor for, saying that they wouldn’t do compensation for that and be very rude about it asking me what I want from her when she won’t fix the problem she created. I’m still waiting for store manager Zach to call me back, since “he came today just for the meeting “ and had no problems of leaving and not calling me back. Just horrible service, and that’s coming obviously from upper management cause everyone else at the store was nice and helpful. This store needs completely new set of people to run it. Per my contractor request he wanted to deal with Home Depot. Well first and last time - going back to Lowe’s as this not once happened to me there. 0 out of 5 if it existed 2/20/24 update Still didn’t get no call from Zach"
"I shop here every day. I’m a general contractor, so I was on the clock for this whole interaction. I purchased a snow blower on Tuesday. On Friday, I tried to return it because it wasn’t throwing the snow, and it wouldn't propel forward. I used it for like 2 hours in the time I had it. I talked with (I believe) the customer service manager on Friday, and she was incredibly disrespectful to me for inquiring about a return. She stated she would have me kicked out of the store “in about 2 seconds” because I was “too aggressive” but all I did was ask why I can’t return it. From here, I started videoing the conversation. I still have the video. I’d upload it if this review allowed it. I explained I don’t have the receipt, but I have the card. She responded with “why are you still talking?” While she started up on the computer. I tried to hand her the card so she could look up my transaction history and she told me to “calm down” which felt pretty rude. Then, I looked to my coworker and said “I guess she has what she needs” and she stated that “my two seconds were about up” implying she would have me kicked out of the store for communicating with a coworker in her presence. She also told me she was “doing me a favor by looking this up.” Like I’m asking her to do something other than her job. She never sent someone outside to help me, so I went to the pro desk and asked for her boss. I wanted to show him the video I took of this conversation. I never did get to, but she spoke with (again, im assuming) her boss by the pro desk while I got help from another employee. At some point during all this, she looked at me and started talking about what I said to her. I tried to correct her and she immediately cut me off. I said “I let you talk. Now it’s my turn.” And halfway through my sentence, she literally said “I won’t let you talk because…” and at this point, I dont even remember what she said because I was praying to god for the strength to keep my mouth shut. I was getting the help I needed from an employee I know at the pro desk, and I just wanted the money back on the company card. Before she walked away, she said “you’re getting your money back, so it’s all good” like how I was just spoken at didn’t matter. I ignored it and just got the return. To make a long story short, the woman in this photo, who wore an apron that said Renee, was the most disrespectful employee I’ve ever had to deal with. I will never shop here again after this experience. My two seconds at this store are up."
"This place just gets worse and worse each year! I just left after trying to buy one 1" plywood and two 1/2" plywood. I got the first one in the cart but we were chased away by two employees, one on a fork lift and one on foot because they had to stock something. So much for THAT project! Just how stupid does a person, oops, do TWO people have to be that actually chase in-store customers out of the store so they can stock some inanimate item? 9-18-2023 Update - We went back to finish our project today but everything we needed was barricaded behind a pallet of lattice and a forklift! The snarky old guy at the C.S. desk "Well, just go and get it!" Duh!"
"Home Depot is usually where I go. Recently I now work near this midtown Tudor location. So it is worth a review. Considering this is a Home Depot we are talking about, the employees here at this location actually are helpful and nice which is a refreshing plus. My experience is usually not that. The stock here is always the best in town. They usually don’t disappoint having what you need. Glad to be nearby this location now! A good of three Anchorage locations."
