They bring all that attention in too the area. Owner can care less. He has demonstrated this time after time. From the Eastside too on Fireweed and now more into Spenard."

"Just tried them for the first time, what a hidden gem! Real Southern food! Had the meatloaf steak, macaroni and cheese and green beans. Then topped it off with chocolate cake! Everything was phenomenal, the staff were super nice, restaurant was clean and portions were generous. Can't wait to go back!"

"Small, cozy, comfortable and the food is so good! I’m new to the area and I’ve been trying so many restaurants but nothing has compared to the lower 48. Being from the Austin area, some of the best late night dining is hard to compare to, but this place does. They serve a wide variety of food, I’ve only tried to Philly cheesesteak, the fried chicken and a breakfast sandwich, they’ve all been incredible! Love the fact that this place is open when I get off of work late!! Great service, owner is super cool, definitely a place you have to try for yourself!!!"

"So good! Owners are apparently from North Carolina and the food is legit. Fried chicken and fried okra exceeded expectations. Coleslaw and the pulled pork sandwich were pretty tasty too! Owner surprised us with really good mac and cheese to try and since our pants still fit we finished with an enormous piece of sinfully delicious chocolate cake. Highly recommended for some surprisingly super satisfying southern cookin' in Alaska!"
