"Expected an authentic Jamaican restaurant. This was not it. Decided to give it a chance anyway but the owner was cold and then became rude as if she didn’t want our business. We order chicken wings and the wings were obviously not cooked all the way through. Brought this to her attention and her response was “They aren’t bloody so they are fine.” We explained that the chicken was rubbery and definitely not cooked. She just kept arguing that they weren’t bloody. We gave up and just tossed them. She will never see our faces in her shop again. ETA: we absolutely were not rude to you. We came in happy and laughing. You killed that good vibe on the spot. AND we absolutely did NOT eat your raw chicken wings. They were tossed in the trash."

"Do not knock this food until you try it. It’s the best food I have ever eaten. Their food is a world of its own. Everything is chopped and cooked when you order not left there all day drying out so if it’s fast food you’re looking for that’s the wrong place. This is fresh and delicious and made to order. You have to wait a little while for your food, but it’s freshly cooked and freshly made doesn’t matter what it is. It’s all made from scratch and it’s made to order so if you don’t like wait a little while for your food, don’t go there, but if you want food from the Caribbean go to Da jerk!!! she is the best in Eagle River Anchorage Wasilla Palmer, Fairbanks it’s the best food I’ve ever had and I’m just a customer nobody’s paying me to do this. I just love her food. me and my wife go there three times a week Sam we get a little spicy some we don’t get spicy at all, but you have to tell her don’t assume she knows how spicy you like your food!!!! if I didn’t recommend it I haven’t tried it??"

"A hidden gem in Anchorage! The owner is super friendly and their curry is very delicious. A friend of mine had the wings while he was there and they were amazingly tender and full of flavor. Definitely a spot to try out if you like Caribbean foods."

"The food went way beyond what my husband and I had expected. We're from Anchorage and stopped at a parking lot to taste test and we were blown away. Jerky tacos...a must. Goat curry...gotta try. Brown chicken...bomb dot com. And lastly, our chicken and shrimp bowl is as delicious as all others. Too bad we're in Anchorage or else we'd be there daily."
