"Nothing appeases a sudden snack craving better than some freshly fried bread. Especially on a cold windy drizzly day in Skagway, Alaska. We came by on a brief stopover on the Nieuw Amsterdam to ride the Klondike train followed by a walkabout town. Saw this from a distance with a crowd milling outside - it had to be good. No regrets! Looks like it’s run by a team of energetic college students. Shared one with the wife. The cinnamony sugary snack hit all the right spots. A little pricey though."
"Cute little shop in downtown Skagway. They have a little something for everybody in there, but their specialty is fried dough, much like an elephant ear that you would get at a county fair. It was insanely good."
"There was a long line but we got out pretty quick. The dough was delicious and fresh! One of these was good enough for me and my hubby. They also have souvenirs and shaved ice. Everyone is friendly as well!"
"If you’re ever in Skagway, Alaska you’ve got to stop by. We found this place by accident, but enjoyed their famous doughboy. We were walking along the streets doing the touristy thing and noticed a couple eating some type of bread. At first we thought it was a funnel cake, but they told us it was a doughboy from a shop around the corner. We decided to give it a shot. The store was a bit small, but there was a lot of stuff packed into it. No seating inside, so take it to go."
"Fun little stop for a snack. One of the better snacky souvenir shops in town I thought. Some local flavor Candies, Caribou summer sausages, boxed salmon, jerky, birch syrup, random gifts and of course some pretty good fry bread served up deliciously hot and loaded with cinnamon sugar!"
