"Glacier Brewhouse was recommended by our tour guide, and I’m so glad she mentioned it because I don’t think we would have stopped in otherwise. We didn’t get to eat, but we had a few different beers and each was phenomenal. We came in late, less than an hour before closing, but every staff member we encountered was super friendly."
"Joe the bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The flagship flight gives a great taste of the local beers brewed. Joe made an excellent cocktail called the Honey trap and the Alaskan Salmon was very tasty. The broccoli was a little tough and the potatoes a little dry. I did also order to go the Alaskan Salmon BLT salad and the Key Lime Cheesecake. It is a very warm and friendly place, but not the pub atmosphere you would think associated with a brewhouse. Solid tasting beers and very professional and accommodating service, especially from Joe behind the bar. Definitely worth a stop when Anchorage."
"Pretty extensive menu all around. Calamari is legitimately the best I’ve ever had. Fish and chips was well seasoned but you can tell it was breaded wet and fried too hot in old oil. And sauceless coleslaw - WHO DOES THAT! They claim to have world famous bread pudding but if that’s how you treat coleslaw, I couldn’t bring myself to order it."
"We ain't here while on vacation in Alaska. Waiting for our cruise to depart the next day. The Alaskan king crab legs were very good, and it was probably some of the best calamari that I've ever had in my life. The only reason I didn't give it four stars, is the staff. They were not friendly and were very short tempered. It kind of ruined the whole experience, but we still had a great time and the food was very good. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what I expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special whether it was service, food, staff, etc., and a 5 means I was blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing with no offer to correct the experience and a 1-star rating was terrible"
"An absolute culinary gem! The calamari and ale fondue with pretzels appetizers set the bar incredibly high, undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted. The pizza? Simply phenomenal. We ventured further into their diverse menu with the Salmon, herb crusted halibut, mixed seafood grill, seafood fettuccine, and the peppercorn crusted steak — each dish was a masterclass in flavor, easily some of the best we've ever indulged in. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the desserts made their grand entrance. The peanut butter pie, their world-famous bread pudding, and the summer berry cheesecake were the perfect sweet endings to a memorable meal. Highly recommend!"
