Florence Recreation Facility

The Florence Recreation Facility, located at 5602 Old US Hwy in Florence, Montana, United States, is dedicated to providing a safe space that promotes education, community, and athletics for lifelong health and wellness. Unfortunately, the current state of the Spring Track Conditions is not looking promising for the upcoming season. The track is in need of maintenance, with deep tire ruts, downed trees, rocks, dangerous debris, and litter present in the jumping pit areas.

Florence Carlton students, athletes, coaches, and parents have been volunteering their time to clean and maintain the track, football field, and softball area. However, the facilities are still in a dilapidated and unsafe condition for practice. The middle school and high school track and field programs are unable to fully utilize the facility, with limited equipment and space available.

In addition to the athletic programs, the k-12 physical education programs and elementary Milage also use the track area, further highlighting the need for improvements. The neglected track poses a risk of injuries to students, athletes, teachers, coaches, and the general community. Student-athletes are left with limited options for practice, resorting to using school hallways or incurring expenses to travel to other facilities for training.

It is crucial that the Florence Recreation Facility receives the necessary upgrades and maintenance to ensure the safety and well-being of all who utilize the space. With the support of the community, we can create a thriving environment that fosters health, wellness, and athletic development for everyone involved.
