"the bathrooms reek. the men's room has no enclosed toilet (no stall)....it is wide open to anyone peeking in the door. the beer is quite often warm. and the service depends upon whether they know you. the bartenders take care of their friends and couldn't care less about you. it's a terrible place.....unless you like dives."

"Whether you want to call this a Bar, or a Dive, makes no difference to me. Palace is still one of my all time favorite places to order a beer anywhere in the world. Before the usa dollar became hyper inflated, you could order a mason jar of high-quality craft beer for $3.00. Talk about delicious value! Small talk with locals, or out-of-towners, you are going to have a good conversation for sure."
"Went in after midnight. Pretty low key; just a handful of people. Not a very big atmosphere. Pool tables open. Pleasant surprise! Drinks were cheap but good. I ended up spilling my drink and the bartender automatically asked if she could make me another. We'd definitely come back."
