Reviews of Visitor Center: Thousand Springs State Park & Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument
"Robin is amazing. She shared so much wonderful information with us about the fossil beds and must-see sights around the area! Took her recommendation to see Balanced Rock and it was incredible! Go check it out!!!!!"
"A nice display of a complete Hagerman horse skeleton on display here. Several other fossil displays as well. Not a large display but interesting."
"A glimpse into the past is available here so take some time to see what Idaho's history held and the beauty of what is now. The staff are knowledgeable and love answering questions. And no, you can't look for your own fossils there."
"Great museum. Very small so doesn't take very long. They had a NPS Jr. Ranger badge here that was nice to do and learn more about fossils! Ranger here suggested stamping the Jr Ranger badge on the back with the NPS stp! Wish I'd thought of this before! Absolutely great idea!"
"Happy for the new location and building, it's a work of art! Beware, the brown signs an the highway still make it seem as if the visitor center is still in downtown Hagerman, it isn't. Went on a Friday in the late afternoon and had the place to myself! Cool fossils and fossil casts. Ended up walking the path around the building and there was a bonus table with casts and fossils I could touch. A ranger (?) came out back and explained the difference between antlers and horns, I had no idea! The air conditioning was kicking and the bathrooms nice, I will be back! Lots of parking too, there is even parking for trucks with trailers or RV!"
