Reviews of Bitterroot Cabins
"No pets.no openings."
"This was an amazing place with unreal views. We stayed in the Como Peaks Cabin and it was a beautiful place. Everything you need to spend a comfortable vacation. First class for sure!!"
"I've never been treated so poorly by a company in the hospitality industry. My husband and I, along with our 3 boys, had plans/reservations to visit Yellowstone at the end of this month. We decided to change plans and seek a place that would offer more solitude. My husband is a school principal and as you can imagine, the upcoming school year will likely be his most challenging year yet in his education career of 20+ years. We figured some simple fishing, scenery and solitude would do our souls some good. We currently reside in Idaho but lived in Montana for quite some time. We decided to check into Montana vacation rentals and found Bitterroot Cabins, LLC . Their properties that they manage all look amazing and were very attractive to us. The Como Peaks Cabin happened to be available for our dates. We thought that it might be nice to include my parents in the trip as well but the cabin states that it accommodates only 6 people and that would put us at 7. I called and spoke with Sherrie and asked her if there was any wiggle room there and she told me that they were very careful to stick to the guidelines set forth. I understood her viewpoint and told her that I would likely still book as I hadn't extended an invite to my parents yet anyway. I booked the property and it actually worked out well not to have my parents join because they were happy to stay here and house sit for us as we have a couple of fur-babies too. I decided to invite an old friend who lives close to the Bitterroot Valley to join us on the trip as well. I went ahead and booked the reservation as we were within the occupancy guidelines (now a party of 6). I cancelled our Yellowstone reservations and was anticipating a great trip to the Bitterroot! A few hours after booking my reservation online, I got a call from Sherrie. She said I don't know how to say this without sounding rude but "who's sleeping with grandma?". I kind of laughed and said that grandma isn't coming...as discussed, you couldn't accommodate 7 people so I didn't invite grandma and grandpa. I have invited my friend that lives there to possibly join us. Here's where it gets weird.....SHE WANTED TO KNOW EXACT SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS! I told her that exact sleeping arrangements hadn't been made but with 2 twins, a king and a queen we could make it work. I threw out of a couple of scenarios and she said "I don't mean to sound rude, but I find that strange". She told me that she would need to run it by Brett (I'm assuming her husband and business partner) but she didn't think that was going to work. We now, don't have any vacation plans and I don't even know how to explain the cancellation to my boys. This is the most odd situation that I have encountered. I'm not leaving out any details and I wish there was more to the story to share. Did I just catch someone on a weird day? How is it so hard to understand that we are a family of 5 and an old friend from our old stompin' grounds might be joining us in a rental that has plenty of room? We were within the parameters of the house rules and rental agreement. I don't understand on what basis, we were disqualified as acceptable candidates to rent this property. MIND BLOWN! This is a very unfortunate situation for everyone...especially us and the property owner. I hope whoever owns the Como Peaks Cabin will see this review and perhaps think twice about who is micro-managing his/her property."
"Brett and Sherrie take amazing care of the properties. They also ensure the guest experience is top notch!"
"My husband and I rented from this company five years ago while we were on our honeymoon. It was a great experience and the wonderful cabin we rented left us life long Montana memories! When we make it back to the Bitterroot Valley again one day, we will definitely use this company again!"
