"I want to thank the staff at Montana Spine and Pain Center for helping through a very difficult recovery from spine surgery. Even though they were not completely familiar with my particular surgery and expected pain needs they worked effectively with my surgeon to help me through it. Thanks Folks!"
"The message on this companys phone should say " Once we receive a referral from 5 doctors, you peruse our website, call us for instructions, then fill out our paperwork, send paperwork back, then call for more instructions, then send us all of your medical records, then call us again, then wait for someone from our office to call you to schedule an appointment here" Ive been trying to get seen since August 2020. My primary Dr sent 3 referals that they say they never received. I went to the er on Dec 1 and they sent a referral. Still no appt or call back from providence. I went to a different primary Dr just to get an appointment for me to get seen at providence and had her send another referral. She told me that the Dr in er still had his referral on record but she sent another.-still nothing. I received a new patients pack of paperwork from providence at the end of December , stating that I needed to watch videos on their website and sign up for an appointment there AFTER THEY RECEIVE A REFERRAL FROM MY DR. . I couldn't find any videos or information on how to complete any of their instructions on the website listed in the paperwork so I called and spoke with someone who told me not to worry about the videos and just send the paperwork back so she could actually schedule an appointment for me. I filled out all the forms and returned it the same day. Still no appointment. I called again today and was told they DID receive the referral, and paperwork but they can't get me scheduled until they received the records from my last treatment center. I'VE BEEN TELLING THEM THROUGH THIS ENTIRE FIASCO THAT I BROUGHT THEM .so this woman on the phone tells me to bring them and then she's going to schedule me an appointment. I DON'T BELIEVE HER. This is a very bad company. Clearly, they are incapable of reading or listening to their own literature and messages! What they tell you is " once they receive your referral, someone will call to schedule an appointment. THAT IS A BALD FACE LIE! I would have appreciated a flat out statement like " We're too busy to see you" or something so I didn't get the runaround AND WASTE MY TIME for almost 6 months. DO NOT GO HERE - UNLESS YOU REALLY, REALLY LIKE WASTING YOUR TIME!!!!"
"Possibly the WORST experience of my life. I suffer from debilitating migraines that I have spent years trying to find relief from. I have tried everything (high blood pressure meds., anti seizure meds., triptans, acupuncture, chiropractic, osteopathy, physical therapy) and have not found anything that helps. Providence Spine And Pain recommend Botox injections. It took me about a year after the recommendation to finally give in out of desperation. I had a lengthy conversation with the PA prior to the injections about any possible side effects and risks. I was told that there weren't side effects or dangers that I should be concerned with. And that the form I had to sign prior, was only a formality and that those things never happen. I lost count of all the injections I had in the back of my head, side of my head, forehead, neck and shoulders.. but it was somewhere between 12 and 16. The PA rushed through them, as she said she had another patient waiting. I asked her a few different times to please slow down, as I didn't want her to make a mistake. The injections themselves were a little painful, but nothing I couldn't live with. As I was walking out of the clinic, my legs were so weak that I had to stop for 20 minutes and rest by the elevators. By the time I got home, I could barely get up. I was extremely dizzy, throwing-up, and my whole body felt like I had the worst sunburn you could possibly get. I gave it a few hours to see if my condition would improve before calling the clinic. It did not... so I called around 8pm, sure they would have someone on call. I reached their voicemail with no option for a dr on call. I then called the hospitals main line and explained what was going on. They told me that the Spine and Pain Center didn't have anyone that could be contacted. I could lay down, as the back of my head hurt so bad, I couldn't have anything touch it. I stayed up all night and called the pain center at exactly 8am when they opened and explained my situationame to the receptionist. She took a msg and said someone would call me back. At this point, I had a resting heartrate of 130. After several hours of waiting and getting worse, I called again and left ANOTHER msg. Another 3 hours went by before I got a call back. A nurse called me back.. finally. After I told her what was going on, she offered little to no advice. She said there was nothing they could do, and it should improve in about 4 months. It has been a week since my injections, and I continue to worsen. I feel like I have a horrible flue wI think a painful sunburn. My heart races and I keep falling down, as my legs give out. The pressure and pain in my head is so intense, I can't lay down. The little sleep I get has to be while sitting. Everything tastes bitter, my vision is blurry, my chest hurts, my hands can't grip anything and breathing is difficult. I can't work.. and I've had to have someone stay with me at all times. They've offered no help, and seem to care less about my situation. They also injected wrong on my forehead, which left one eyebrow extremely high, with the other extremely low.. with a bunch of wrinkling. Obviously the cosmetic damage is the least of my worries when I'm this sick, but it just adds to the mess. They need to inform people of things like this prior to getting injections... and then offer some help.. instead of acting like they could care less. This was by far the WORST thing I've ever done."
"On my first AND last appointment with them, the doctor's assistant before I even got a word out was, "FIRST THINGS FIRST. WE DO NOT PROVIDE PAIN MEDICINE HERE!" they totally prejudged me. I was there to get a nerve block. I didn't even ask for drugs. I felt mistreated and wronged. Like I'm a lower class than them.then since my extremely intense chronic pain can't be helped any other way I saw an orthopedic surgeon who said that they do too prescribe meds. That's what they are supposed to do. Treat chronic pain. I don't have a history of drug use or abuse. I would NOT recommend this place. Just plain rude."
"Dr. Heyman and his staff really helped my dad out when he got injured in the line of duty as a cop. He's helped him for 12+ years, helps him with PAIN MANAGEMENT, not just PAINKILLERS. Spine and Pain Center have really good resources that they call on to help patients. Don't believe the bad reviews. They're just people who seek drugs. But drugs aren't the only pain management. Ever heard of toughing it out? Spine and Pain only helps people who help themselves."
