About the Business
FireRoot Spirits is a unique institution located at 5066 Hoblitt Lane in Florence, Montana, United States. Just like the beautiful surroundings of Montana, our spirits embody adventure, simplicity, and the natural bounty that nature provides. Nestled between the Sapphire and Bitterroot mountains, we are able to create some of the finest spirits in the Northwest using only what nature gives us - no synthetic or processed ingredients, just pure spirits.
Our vodka and gin are crafted using natural and organic apples sourced specifically from the Northwest. Our spirits are naturally gluten-free and have a smooth taste that showcases the essence of the apples without overpowering flavor. Apple Jack and Apple Jill offer a fruity and smooth apple flavor, also made from 100% Northwest apples and gluten-free.
At FireRoot Spirits, we use a traditional copper still with modern capabilities to produce our spirits, ensuring a truly gluten-free and pure spirit base. Our Barrel-Aged Bourbon is crafted with state-of-the-art sonication, adding a unique touch to our lineup of spirits. Come visit us and experience the pure taste of Montana in every sip.

"A cozy spot that feels like a buddy's place. Exceptional cider. Try the flight and take home a growler. Get to this gem before everyone else finds out."
"A variety of excellent ciders to tickle your taste buds, including a few non-alcoholic selections, served in a wholly Montana atmosphere."
"Love this place there all the time love the cider"
"This place has several varieties of luscious ciders that you can enjoy in a beautifully decorated taproom. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable as well. We even got to watch the owners pressing apples during our visit!"
"I've done a lot of traveling and been able to sample many ciders including many in the heart of the NY and Virginia apple growing areas and betterRoot is simply BETTER! The passion and expertise is reflected in the exquisite range of ciders offered. My two favorites are their rosemary lavender (Sexy Tractor) and rum oak aged cider (Shiver Me Timbers) but they always have a fairly wide variety of other ciders from sweet to dry. They're a short drive south of Missoula off 93. Make a day trip out of it by hiking Saint Mary's Peak, paddling or floating the Blackfoot, climbing in Kootenai Canyon, or taking in the wonderful Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge across the river and end up at betterRoot. There's great views from their patio or warm conversation in their spacious tasting room."
