"I loved the merc , they used to have amazing food and decent prices . Once again I tried the merc the lettuce was rotten on my sandwich, which is strange as the folks that own the merc also have stake in Local Bounti , they grow fresh lettuce , there was an unidentified substance on my roast beef and cheddar , I still don’t know what it is"

"Bring back the old Merc! Since it has become Bowers it's not worth going. They ruined the deli. You can't walk in and get breakfast burritos or any deli item any more. You have to order everything special. Not convenient at all. Deli is garbage now. Rest of the stores prices are so high its crazy."

"The quality of this place has dropped immensely. I went in last night and the cashier was rude and argumentative to the point I will never step foot in the establishment again. The cashiers and managers used to be friendly and personable and it was worth paying the higher prices. The wine selection used to be organized, and have a much better selection."

"Sadly the quality and convenience of this store has gone down hill since it became Bowers Market. I hope that someday Bowers Market would stop cutting corners to save a dime. And get it's standards back up to where it use to be when it was The Merc Fresh Market. It's a convenience store it's suppose to be convenient. Plus the deli needs to step up their game. I remember ordering shrimp Poe boys when I was a kid. Also get the old chicken strip recipe back a long with the jojo's. I know ppl from around the world that'll go out of their way to get the old chicken strip and JoJo special."

"They have the best joe Joe's and breakfast burritos but the atmosphere and attitude from some of the employees are something straight out of high school. I can't imagine how some of their employees could ever get a job anywhere else in customer service. It's Corvallis #1place where they gossip and get paid for it."
