"ZERO STARS- I am utterly disappointed by the experience with Plum Property and discourage anyone from renting from this company. After years of renting in Missoula without issue, I rented from Plum and will never rent from them again. The majority of my deposit was kept for cleaning fees and associated "inspection" fees. Plum ignored numerous e-mails regarding my deposit. They sent me the photos of the second inspection that were actually from the first inspection (even labeled as such) stating that I did not remedy the cleaning issues. It took another 6 months to receive the photos from second inspection. They did not account for wear and tear, at all. They used a cleaning company that appeared to be owned by a former account receivable employee. This company charged almost double the average rate charged by other companies. They used a questionable "inspection" company for the move out inspections. This company also appeared to by owned by a former employee. Finally, I received an e-mail stating Plum would review my concerns. I was told they would review and respond to my by mid January, over two months ago. It's disappointing that a local Missoula company would act in such a manner and NOT provide QUALITY, HONEST rental management for our community."

Recently, we encountered a slight hiccup with a payment mix-up, which was an unusual occurrence given my consistent history of on-time payments. I reached out to the management to discuss the situation, specifically addressing the late fee that was applied due to the mix-up. I was pleasantly surprised and appreciative of their response. The team at Plum Property Management took the time to review my payment history and acknowledged my long-standing, reliable relationship with them. "I really wish I could give negative stars, but 1 is the lowest possible so that is what they get. I don't even know where to start: * they make up fees to charge every month - advertising rented units, materials and supplies (which what does that even mean?), they added an appliance fee (again, what is this fee? Because they aren't repairing/replacing appliances with this money), management fees, and more. * they added a fuel surcharge during covid when gas was over $5/gallon. They still charge it now that gas is the lowest it has been in 3 years. * they charge a fee for your tenants to be able to pay rent. * they charged us to collect utility bills. Then, when we took over the bills on our own, they kept charging us that amount even though they were no longer paying anything. We still haven't gotten that money back (5 months later). * they added a pet fee on top of the rent (that did not come to us as the landlords, and that we specifically told them not to add). * getting in touch with anyone to address any concerns is impossible, they just don't answer phones or return calls. In short, DO NOT use Plum Property Management. This is just the tip of the iceberg that I can think of right now."

"We used Plum Property Management for two years and couldn’t be more pleased with their service. Living on the east coast, it was comforting knowing our property was being well cared for. Any issues were promptly brought to our attention and handled in a timely, professional manner. I highly recommend Plum Property Management as a responsive, responsible team to mange your rental property."

"When I first started dealing with plum they were very nice helpful in finding me a place. I gave them a good review a year ago. When it was time to move out that all completely changed, they became very rude and hard to deal with. I left the place nicer than when I moved in. I think due to COVID it did not get cleaned and nothing was fixed. I tried to work with them, but it became very clear that they were going to penalize me no matter what I did and that they were just after my deposit. They came and inspected the unit and told me it needed 6-8 hours of cleaning. Below are pic of how I left the place. Unless you are really desperate I would not do business with them."
