Reviews of The Station Tavern
"Love this little place! Food was great and there was only one surviving sausage. There's no big sign announcing the presence of this family owned and operated gem nestled in the little town of Philipsburg, Montana so keep an eye out for it. The poor reviews of months ago may have been true then but not so on our visit. Food is good country cuisine, friendly service, and clean. Don't pass up the chance to eat where the locals eat!"
"After more than a decade in customer service and restaurant service I can absolutely say this place is 1000x the worse place ever to eat. When me and my family fist arrived there was not a CLEAN table for us to sit at. The waitress in stead of clearing tables or doing her job was sitting at the bar, and once she acknowledged us she took the trash off of our table and set it on another and didn’t wipe off the sticky soda from the previous people. The food is midi or cure and the menu is way over exaggerated. For my total bill being $65.00 when it should have been a $10 meal at best is outrageous. Most of the menu was a lie and when I explained my order issues and how the food was burnt and non-ediable the cracked out waitress that kept disappearing acted like it was my fault. When the cook asked her what was wrong she even said daja vue this happens yesterday , but it’s my fault. Please if you are driving by please skip it and wait till u get back to the city."
"The Station has had a rough time over the last several years; after a change in ownership, a fire, and of course, Covid-19, one really couldn't blame them for struggling. But today, my sister and I decided to have lunch there, for the first time in a long time, and had a really nice experience. Their menu has expanded since we were last there, and the food was delicious and the service was timely and attentive. It felt like the restaurant I remember from years ago when my whole family would go there to eat and visit. I will definitely be back."
"The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever seen in my life. Old hag waitress treated us like complete garbage for the entire time we were in the restaurant. Party of 7 walked in at 10:45 with zero greeting other than “YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES TO ORDER BREAKFAST”. She never asked us if we wanted anything to drink and rolled her eyes when we asked for drinks 30 minutes after we arrived. We were the only table. When our food arrived, all 7 guests said thank you as they got their plate and she never said a word in response. She slapped down a ticket and walked away. I’ve never felt more like an inconvenience. DO NOT recommend to anyone."
"This is actually a negative 5 star review. The order taker & the waitress were both the rudest people I have ever ran into. Messed our order up then basically acted like it was our fault. Asked waitress to correct order & she aggressively snatched our meals off the table & proceeded to kick us out of the place. We were in shock. On our way out the door she rudely shouted something like "go back to your big town to eat". Sorry, rudest people I've ever encountered, we are from a small town less than 50 miles away. Never step foot in this place again. How does a business thrive with the rudest staff on earth??"
