Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium

"The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and all the insects, spiders, and butterflies are well cared for. It gets a little full at times but there's plenty to see if a particular exhibit is busy and you can just move to the next. The butterfly house/enclosure itself is built like a human sized terrarium where the butterflies fly freely amoung the kids and adults walking through. My daughter and I will definitely be going back again soon.."

"Unfortunate visit to the Butterfly House. There was no front desk staff in the lobby, and people didn’t know where to go. There was no notice to pre-purchase tickets on the website/Facebook until a couple of days before public opening. Nothing in the Missoulian Dec 5th article either. Upon arrival we were told to wait for 30min., because the facility was "at capacity," meanwhile, they kept admitting anyone with a pre-purchased ticket. The staff was snappy, using a sarcastic tone. When we complained via the website, the Director replied with a combative manifesto, making excuses for every issue. Awful organization."

"So I'm not a fan of creepy crawly bugs at all. However this was super cool. Especially the butterfly area. I really enjoyed my time here. The whole staff was friendly and enjoyed answering any questions I or my kids had. Highly recommended checking this place out."

"Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Curious selection of critters- and the Friday 4:00p tarantula feeding was definitely fun to witness! They also have the largest tarantula I have ever seen in person- a HUGE bird eater!!"
