"Beware! You get what you pay for…and not sure if your health is worth risking. I went to Amber Lund-Wright at Renu Medicine (formally known as Royal Concierge Medical) for support with some health problems I have faced. Unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal and left me feeling confused and even more concerned for my health. Amber seemed to have a lot of the answers and said she was willing to work with me towards more optimal health. She explained that what she was prescribing to me wasn’t a one-size-fits-all approach and could take time and adjustments along the way. My main take away from the first interactions was that Amber would be there with me each step of the way as we figured out what would help me feel better AND it would take time to get the results I was aiming for. I prepaid Amber for 12 months of her service. Don't do this...If for any reason you wish to discontinue service, you will not get a refund (even if you don’t sign a contract). Things didn't go as I was expecting. I was assured that my prescriptions would be sent to my pharmacy– I had to follow-up multiple times and make several trips to the pharmacy to get everything I was prescribed. Additionally, one medication that was to be injected weekly, was only to be picked up at the office (Amber would fill the syringes herself and put them in a baggy for me to pick up). How to schedule a time to pickup the syringes was unclear and even through multiple texts...I had no clue how to get what I paid for. This was the beginning of feeling like I was “bugging” Amber for service and support. Communication was very slow and lots of incomplete responses. Consistency in taking medication is an important factor to success, but it seems that I was the only one concerned with that. Again, I felt like I was just “bugging” Amber any time I would reach out. Trying to get a prescription refilled felt near impossible. Even with an urgent need to have prescriptions refilled, it took multiple follow ups and calls into the office. Leaving me without prescriptions for days and weeks Amber had advised me through text (from a different number) that they had sent an email to all the clients advising them that they had changed phone numbers. I had missed this email and so was texting (the main method of communication) a number that wasn’t in service any longer. With such a big change in communication, you would think they would take more care to ensure that paying clients were aware of this change other than a one-time email with an attached “newsletter”. So what was my biggest problem and challenge with working with Amber? Aside from the frustration surrounding slow communication and lack of follow-through…I would say that I felt like Amber did not care about my health or the potential problems I might face from inconsistency in medication usage. I felt ignored and that concerns I shared were not acknowledged or even heard. I don’t expect immediate service or responses from anyone I work with, but I do expect to be treated with professionalism. I do expect that when my health is a factor, that the person I am paying to help me will care a little bit about ensuring that I feel safe and comfortable – I did not experience that. I felt that I was bothering Amber anytime we communicated and just another pay-check for her. Lastly, when I terminated our working relationship and requested a refund for the remaining months I had prepaid Amber for, I was told no. I was told to read the contract that I signed (which I didn’t sign) and to make myself aware of the terms of said agreement. If you take a risk and work with Amber, I would not prepay for the service and no not expect to have consistent communication. Be prepared to have to follow up and track your own medication and care schedule. If a less expensive experience is your biggest concern, Amber might be right for you…but you get what you pay for."
