"I enjoyed my year with the New Broadmoor up until management changed the month before I left. I am owed $1796 because of a clerical error on the new managers part and my owed security deposit and have been completely ghosted for the last two months. I have left countless voicemails, messages, emails and no one will respond to me. When I finically did get a hold of the manager he told me to call the next morning and screened my calls. I have been cheated out of my earned money and no one is willing to make this right. DO NOT LEASE HERE if you need ethical business practices and good communication."
"I lived here in 1973/74 while attending the "U" no car needed in this neighborhood. Safeway grocery store on 9th east, laundromat 100' away. Little bit noisy on the weekends some caused by us playing guitar. Good memories. I remember the rent when split between roommates was very affordable. I got in shape walking and riding my bike."
"I have lived here for 2 years and am just now moving out to a different area for personal reasons. These apartments are simply the best! Great value, location, and management team. The apartments are clean and well-maintained. Every time we have had an issue, Thyson or the maintenance team has been incredibly responsive and helpful."
"We've lived here for about 18 months, and just signed another 14 month lease because we really love it here! The location is fantastic and close to everything. The building is beautiful and homey, and we've really liked the neighborhood and community! We've been extremely happy to have the manager, Thyson, who has always been so helpful and awesome. The few times we've ever needed anything he's always right on it, and just really easy to work with. We've lived in 3 places downtown since we moved here 4 years ago, and we plan on being here for a long time. Especially for the quality, price and location, it's about the best deal around! I will just add that the one thing I would be aware of is that package theft has been a pretty big problem for us and many people I've talked to here. It's been bad enough at times that now we only ship online purchases to friend's houses. I would like to see some sort of cage or alternate solution, cameras perhaps. *However*- the pros of the New Broadmoor outweigh this con so heavily that we didn't hesitate for a second to sign another lease. There is also an Amazon locker at the 7/11 around the corner, which can be helpful for that."
"We have rented an apartment here for my daughter for a year and just renewed the lease. Thyson, the property manager, is the main reason. No matter what his company pays him, he deserves more. As an out of state parent of a U of U student, I rely on Thyson to manage our lease, our apartment and the building safely, honestly and in a timely manner. He exceeds my expectations with every request or need we have had. We love the location and charm of the building. I know there are more up to date buildings available but with a property manager as responsive as Thyson, and a building that is maintained and clean and safe...I have chosen to re-lease at New Broadmoor. Thanks to Thyson, no move was necessary!"
