"A friend and I lived in a two-bedroom apartment at Brickyard for 18 months back in 2019-2020. For the most part, living at the Brickyard Apartments was an excellent experience, though there I had a few (very specific) nitpicks by the time I moved out. To summarize: Pros: -apartment is spacious, modern, and well-lit (but never so much that you'll burn in the morning or evening); quite honestly, it's gorgeous -backyard of the property is large enough to play with dogs and throw a frisbee around with friends -neighbors are all very nice and quiet, and as far as I know none of them planned to steal my organs -benches and BBQ outside are perfect for social outings if you're into that sort of thing -the required cable/internet package has very high internet speeds (for reference, my friend and I could play some pretty data-heavy PS4 games at the same time, in the same apartment, in the same game lobby, without a hint of lag) -within walking distance of Harmons, Great Clips, the library, and various small shops and restaurants -the property manager is a pretty nice guy and doesn't come barging in for no reason -utilities don't cost an arm and a leg -comes with garbage disposal AND a washer and dryer AND a dishwasher AND cabinets that don't shatter my eardrums when I shut them -comes with covered parking AND general parking AND street parking on a street that did not host a single knight fight while I was there -geese flying overhead every morning wistfully remind me of home on the east coast Cons: -the required cable/internet package is...well, required (and pretty expensive, since it comes with cable) -as written in the contract (or at least how I interpreted it), there are to be no overnight guests without permission from the landlord; this makes sense for extended guests, but for a one-night fling, it seems a bit awkward to ask -my bike was stolen off of our back porch, and there are no security cameras; granted, it was a cheap bike and wasn't locked, but that was still a sad Wednesday for us all -at the end of your lease, the property manager will go around with a UV light and check the rug for stains, blemishes, marks, or literally anything else, and if even the slightest flaw appears you will pay an exorbitant rug replacement fee; we lived with a dog and a cat and this was mentioned in the lease, so it wasn't a surprise, but it's still a pain overall 8/10 pretty good place to live"
"Fantastic property and management. Units are clean, relatively new and well kept. Landscaping on the grounds is beautiful and immaculate. Quiet/friendly neighbors. Covered parking. Feels more like condo living with only 24 units. Management cares about the living experience and treats tenants with respect. Maintenance requests handled so quickly. Walkable to Vasa and Harmons. Quick drive over to Sugarhouse park. Would recommend to anyone."
"Outstanding! During the time I stayed there, I found it a great place to live. Since the apartments are semi-secluded, there is very little noise and the neighborhood was very liveable. Management did an excellent job of maintaining the property, the grounds and the parking area. Having covered parking is a big plus as it keeps snow off the car in the winter and the sun off during the summer. The interior was well laid out and was very functional. Since the property is new, everything worked properly and the apartment was immaculate. Compared to other properties I have visited, this one is at the top of the list."
